Heya!
Michael and I are here at Bumpin' Grind Cafe in Denver, Colorado! We got in last night but then had to go to this yuppie hipster campground called Cherry Creek like ten miles south of the city. Tonight I think we have someone to stay with. Rad.
So since we last spoke I have been to Los Angeles, Rancho Cucamonga, Phoenix, Sedona, Flagstaff, Santa Fe, Abiquiu, and Denver. Still to come: Lawrence, St. Paul, Chicago, and a bunch of other places on the way back to Ashland that I don't have fully planned yet! Everywhere we've stayed has been absolutely great.
In Rancho we saw Mischief Brew, Koalakaust, and Mayson's brother Andy's band play at a record store. Then I finally said goodbye to the BREW CREW. Then we stayed up late talking about some crazy fun facts and got vegan food in the morning. Awesome. In Phoenix/Tempe we went to a show at a coffee shop where I happened to see French Quarter of Andrew Jackson Jihad fame, then went to this ridiculous hipster party (allegedly, our pictures will be up at thedirty.com) and snuck into an apartment complex pool until four in the morning. Sedona is the origin of the picture from my last update. In Flagstaff we stayed briefly with James Redpatch who is a great guy and is probably riding with us to the RNC. Also, it turns out the Hell Caminos stayed at his house one time. Ha. In Santa Fe we went camping with Amy in the mountains, sang songs and ate Wagon Wheels. Then we camped in northwest New Mexico at a town called Abiquiu and planned to camp in southwest Colorado but wound up going straight through to Denver!
Tomorrow we miiiiiiiiiiiight see NOFX play, in order, all of Punk in Drublic, plus the Bosstones, Bouncing Souls, and some other good Fat/Epitaph bands. On the 27th we have tickets to see Ralph Nader speak with special guests Val Kilmer, Sean Penn, Cindy Sheehan, Matt Gonzalez, and fucking Jello Biafra. And we're entering a raffle to see Rage Against the Machine play here in Denver. And Anti-Flag is playing a show with Dead Prez and some other bands for free in St. Paul, haha.
If I don't get a chance to update this you can also hear me on the Brain Labor Report next Tuesday! Check out kskq.org for local times.
Love and rage,
Noah
