once tonight i saw a star light the sky
once tonight i saw hope rekindled,
once tonight i wrote my thoughts,
once again i begin to remember myself,
once tonight i saw one become two,

twice today i saw circles fly,
twice today i remember looking up and out,
twice today i realized we are not free
twice today i say the lights

i regain that two become many,
many sparks may start the fire,
many breaths may fan the flame,
many hands must share the work,
