Also, also...please, for the love of God, explain to me how anyone sees these characters as an epic romance?

I think it must take a lot of willful blindness and of replacing actual!Noah with some kind of fanon!Noah who never actually appeared on the screen.

I'm so glad that the writers/producers at least got that much, and didn't put them back together at the end.

I am so, so glad that we got an ending where Luke was not with Noah, and that we got at least some (if not nearly enough) of this:
