I know that a lot of people don't like this episode, you know, what with Luke seeming to choose Noah over Reid, and all that guilt-ridden, oh-my-God-I'm-scared jazz, but count me among those who love it. This could be due to the utterly ridiculous optimism that is one of my main personality traits. You show me a half-rotten strawberry and I'll show

But for me, it's the protective hand that does it. It shows it all. Protective, possessive, "relax" - everything all shoved into one hand-on-chest. Oh, Reid.
It's like the "Shhh, let me" moment with the buttons. Reid, like Luke, is love, just more focused and prickly!

Hee!! Hooray! I bring out the chattiness in myself, so it's all fair!! ;)
"I want to be alone with you" is just about the hottest thing I have ever heard on television. Reid's total honesty to Luke is such a turn on. He's not using it as a line to get Luke in bed, or one of those soap "moments" where they stare into each other's eyes and make it "meaningful"- it just comes out in the moment, eyes closed, rushed between kisses. Double guh.

I can't even! I JUST GUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He invites Luke into Katie's apartment with a quiet "You look as bad as I feel", like they've been through an ordeal together. How he STILL says that line like Luke has chosen him and they're definitely a couple, but after Luke has already said he loves Noah. The man is in love.
Yeah. Oh, Reid. OH REID!!! *clutches heart*

Yes, but I also think it may have contributed to Luke's (bad) decision to try to fix things with Noah. It was too much, too fast for our Victorian romance novel heroine. Luke even said that it was moving so fast, and I do think it really was too fast for Luke to deal with. Sure, he didn't seem at all interested in shutting things down in the middle of the hot, passionate kiss, but I'm sure once he had a few minutes to cool down and start the blood flowing to his brain once again, he probably had a bit of a panic over the fact that he had AGAIN come so close to sleeping with Reid, and it was all just too much, too fast, for him to deal with. So, that's just one more reason that Noah was the "safe" choice.
