The thing that really gets me is how Noah always treated Luke almost exactly the same way that Holden always treated Lily. I was just watching the clips from when Holden told Lily he'd had an affair with Carly, and I found it really remarkable how, when Holden decided he couldn't trust Lily and saw an attorney about filing for divorce, and while they were separated Lily started having an affair with Dusty, it was all kinds of horrible and wrong for her to "cheat on him" that way. (Sorry, Holden, but if you're filing for divorce, she ISN'T CHEATING! Anymore than Luke was cheating when he got together with Reid!) BUT! When Holden slept with Lily's best friend, at a time when they were supposedly trying to work things out and repair their relationship, well, there seemed to be an awful lot of "why can't you just understand" going on. I don't think he actually said those words, but that was definitely his attitude. But he actually did say "I'm just trying to be honest".
Yes, Luke, you fell in love with your father... how cliché! Thank GOD he got over that!
