Author's Notes: This had been such a cathartic experience! I have had a lot of fun, and surprisingly some pain during the process. It was very hard for me to go back and watch some of the nuke scenes. One thing became clear to me along the way; Noah truly is/was/will always be a douche! And Reid is the only man for Luke! There are really no warnings, there is a character death, but not Luke or Reid’s (sorry, not Noah’s either). I want to thank schum for the beta! I am truly lucky to have someone to help me that takes the process so seriously, love you sis! *hugs*
I also want to thank broncotvgirl for being a great support through this process. Thanks for the suggestions and comments! I’m one lucky Luke <3

It’s been nine months since Luke blurted out his love to a stunned Reid in the middle of Java. He hadn’t meant to proclaim his love in that way, especially with Noah’s name in the same sentence, but Reid was just being so frustrating that it slipped out. Luke was trying to make a point, to explain to Reid why it was wrong for him to always leave when things got messy, and he was trying to make Reid understand why he shouldn’t have given Katie the idea that doing just that was acceptable.

Luke hadn’t approved of Reid encouraging Katie to leave Chris’ side in order to go home and rest. Reid was looking at the situation logically; Chris didn’t need any additional stress, he was deathly ill, and worrying about Katie would only add stress to his already failing heart. Reid was also worried about his friend, she had already lost so much and he was concerned that she couldn’t take seeing Chris die in front of her eyes. Luke had explained to Reid that Katie would feel so much worse if she didn’t stay by Chris’ side, and that if he ended up passing away without her being there with him, she would never forgive herself. Reid had gone home and encouraged Katie to go back to the hospital, and Luke was so grateful that he had; Chris died the next day with Katie by his side.

Luke looked back at the events of that day with mixed emotions. He loved that Reid had listened to him when he argued the merits of Katie being there for Chris. He loved that his opinion mattered to Reid. He just wished that he didn’t have to explain things to Reid quite so often; sometimes it was exhausting being Reid Oliver’s boyfriend.

Tonight for example, all Luke had asked Reid was that he be on his best behavior. His sister had her high school graduation and Luke knew that Reid had no interest in going with him, but Luke pulled out his best pouty face and of course Reid gave in…he always did. But, he wasn’t always a good sport about it, and tonight was one of those occasions.

Reid did everything he possibly could to piss Luke off, which was something Reid enjoyed doing from time to time. He not only liked riling up his young boyfriend, he also liked the hot make up sex that inevitably followed all of their tiffs. Reid had no idea however, when the day began, that it would end so terribly different from their previous disagreements.

“I have to get out of here.” Luke yelled as he shoved the first articles of clothing he could reach into a bag.

Reid walked towards his obviously distraught boyfriend, “What are you doing Luke? Why are you packing a bag?”

Luke turned towards him, his angry tears now visible, “Why the fuck do you think Reid? I asked you, hell, I practically begged you to be on your best behavior tonight, but instead you did everything you could possibly think of to embarrass me and my family.”

Reid didn’t know what to say. He knew that he’d been obnoxious, but he hadn’t meant to be an embarrassment. Luke thought he was an embarrassment? Reid’s heart clenched, “I…you know I’m not good at social events Luke. I told you I didn’t want to go in the first place!”

Luke nodded as he gripped the bag in his hand, “You did Reid, and I’m sorrier than you’ll ever know that I didn’t just let you stay home. I just wanted my family to get to know you; I want them to like you.”

Reid’s voice turned cold, “I’m not Noah, Luke. I’m not going to move into your mommy’s house and put your family’s happiness before yours. You are the only one who matters to me.”

Luke rolled his eyes, “I know you’re not Noah, and I don’t want you to be. I’m just asking that you respect me enough to be polite to the people that I love.”

Reid’s eyes traveled to Luke’s hand wrapped tightly around the leather strap, he swallowed, “Don’t go Luke,” he whispered.

Luke shook his head and sighed, “I need some time to think…”

Reid stepped forward reaching for Luke’s free hand, “You have to leave me in order to think?”

Luke pulled his hand from Reid’s reach, “I’m not leaving you Reid, I just need a break from everything. I talked to Casey; I’m going to visit him and Ali for a few days. We can both use the time to think about what it is we really want.”

Reid lifted his hand to Luke’s cheek and tried hard not to show the hurt he felt when Luke flinched, “I know what I want Luke, the most important thing in my life is you.”

Luke laughed without humor, “You say you want me Reid, but I’m a package deal. My family’s important to me and they’ll always be a part of my life. That means holidays and special occasions and if you want to be with me Reid, you’re going to have to accept that.”

“What if I only want you? I’m not good at sharing…”

“That’s what you need to decide while I’m away. I love you, and I want a life with you, but I can’t always be worrying that you’re going to alienate my family every time we’re around them.”

Reid looked down, “I guess I was a bit out of line today. If I apologize will you stay?”

Luke hesitated for a beat, he really didn’t want to be apart from Reid, but he honestly thought that they could use some space from each other, “If you are going to apologize to anyone Reid, it should be to Faith, and it should be because you know that your behavior was wrong, not because you’re trying to get me to stay.”

Reid met Luke’s eyes’, “I am sorry that I hurt you.”

Luke stepped forward and pulled Reid into a hug; Reid sighed as he rested his chin on Luke’s shoulder and closed his eyes.

“Thank you,” Luke said as he lightly kissed Reid on the cheek and quickly walked out the door.

***
As Luke stood outside Casey and Ali’s front door, he questioned what he was doing there. Why had he left Reid to come here? Sure he’d missed his friends, and he was absolutely pissed off about Reid’s behavior at Faith’s graduation, but was it really so serious that he’d left Reid wondering if he was ever coming back? Luke had a sudden urge to get back into his car and drive home as fast as he could. But would that solve anything? Luke decided that it was best for him to stick to his original plan and spend a few days away from Reid. He just wasn’t sure how he was going to survive the time apart.

Luke pulled out his cell phone, he still didn’t know how Reid could be such an ass to his family if he loved him, but he couldn’t shake the scared look in Reid’s eyes’ as he left. Reid didn’t do scared. Luke’s heart clenched at the thought that he had frightened Reid, and that he had allowed him believe that Luke may not come home. Luke knew there was no way in hell that he would ever leave Reid, but he did need time apart…he needed Reid to understand that being civil was important to Luke, at least sometimes. Still, Luke couldn’t shake the haunted look on Reid’s face as he’d walked out the door. He quickly punched in a message and hit send before he could talk himself out of it, I love you. I’ll be home before you know it. Luke.

As soon as Alison opened her front door and saw the look on Luke’s face, she knew that Reid had hurt him. She had told Casey that this would happen…Reid Oliver is a pompous, self righteous, son of a bitch who only cares about himself. Luke Snyder is all heart, and in Ali’s opinion the two of them did not belong together. Luke deserved someone who was kind and patient, someone who would love Luke regardless of his faults, someone like Noah Mayer. Ali had stayed in contact with her former roommate after he moved to L.A. nine months ago, and she knew that he was more than willing to give Luke another chance….now, she just needed to help Luke see why being with Reid Oliver was so very wrong.

***

Luke was trying to enjoy the time he was spending with his friends. He had missed them; especially Casey, who always had a way of making Luke feel better when he was miserable.

“Luke, buddy…spill it.”

Luke looked up into his friend’s concerned eyes’, “Huh?”

“I’ve been talking to you for over an hour and you’ve said maybe three sentences. I’ve known you long enough to know that if you’re not talking, something’s wrong.”

Luke chuckled, “Shut up, Case.”

Casey smiled and moved to sit next to Luke on the couch, “Seriously Luke, talk to me.”

Luke leaned forward and put his head in his hands, “It’s Reid, we had a fight…”

Casey put a hand on his friends shoulder, “I kinda got that man; you wanna talk about it?”

“Does he want to talk about what?” Ali asked walking into the room.

Casey looked over at his fiancé, “Luke and Dr. O had fight.”

Ali nodded knowingly, “I could tell that something was bothering you when you got here, you just looked so sad Luke.” Ali shook her head slightly as she sat down, “I always knew that he would end up hurting you.”

Luke’s head shot up, “What are you talking about Ali? You always knew that who would hurt me? Reid?”

“Of course Luke. I worked with the man, he’s an egomaniacal ass. He’s rude and cold and just the opposite of what you need in a partner.”

As angry as Luke was at Reid, he couldn’t help the automatic reflex to defend the man that he loved.

“Ali, that’s not fair, you don’t really know Reid; he’s a good man.”

“Ok…if he’s such a good man, then why are you sitting on my couch looking heartbroken?”

Casey loved his fiancé, but he couldn’t help but roll his eyes at where he knew her line of questioning would inevitably lead…

Casey jumped in trying to ease the tension, “Luke, why don’t you tell us what the argument was about. Sometimes just talking about it can help you figure things out.”

Luke thought about it, maybe getting his friends take on the situation would help.

“You remember that Faith graduated yesterday?” Luke asked his friends.

They both nodded.

“Reid doesn’t do too well with those types of situations and let’s just say that he made an ass out of himself.”

“That doesn’t surprise me,” muttered Ali.

Casey shot her a look, “What could he have done that was so bad that you called me and asked if you could come for a visit? Don’t get me wrong Luke, I love having you here, but you’ve told me in the past that Reid isn’t good at social events, so why did this time make you so upset?”

“What made this time different is that I practically begged him to be on his best behavior. My mom still tenses up every time she see’s us together and there’s already enough awkwardness between my parents; I just wanted it to be a nice day for everyone, especially Faith.”

“That’s sounds very reasonable,” Ali concluded.

Casey ignored her comment and continued questioning Luke, “Okay, so you asked him to basically not be himself so that your family would approve of him being there? At an event that he didn’t even want to go to in the first place? Dude, that’s asking a lot.”

Luke sighed, “I know, but he wasn’t just his usual snarky self, he seemed to go out of his way to be hurtful. How am I supposed to be okay with him disrespecting my family?”

“You’re not!”

“Ali, please…Luke, who did he hurt?”

“He made Faith cry, at her own graduation party!”

“What an ass!”

Casey took a deep breath trying to keep himself from asking Ali to leave the room, “What did he do to Faith?”

“It started off with a rude comment here and there, but the icing on the cake was when he told my Mom, in front of everyone, that she had better take a lot of pictures of Faith in her white graduation gown, because it would be the last white gown she’d be allowed to wear without it being a complete mockery of the ceremony she’s taking part in.”

Ali gasped and covered her mouth with her hand; Casey was covering his mouth as well, but in an attempt to keep a laugh from escaping. In the end, he failed and he started to laugh to the utter astonishment of his fiancé.

“Casey, you can’t possibly find what Reid said to Faith funny! It was insulting and vulgar and if I had been there I would have slapped him across the face.”

Casey started to laugh harder, “Now that’s something I would pay to see! Dr. O’s reaction to you smacking him…”

Luke couldn’t help the giggle that escaped at the image Casey presented; he bit his lip in an attempt to stop once he saw the hard look that Ali shot him.

“Luke, don’t encourage him. You had every right to be upset by what Reid said! Faith is your little sister, Reid should have respect for her; for your entire family, I know that Noah always did.”

Casey shook his head as he fell back into the couch with a groan, “Here we go again…”

Luke looked at him questioningly.

Casey rolled his eyes’, “She’s been dying to bring up Noah since the moment you walked in the door.” Casey turned to Ali, “Do you really have to do this?”

“Yes Casey I do. Luke is our friend and he deserves the truth.”

Luke was growing weary, “Truth about what Ali?”

“Noah’s not doing well. He misses you Luke. He’s still in love with you.”

Luke looked down as he shook his head, “Ali, I don’t know why you think that; I haven’t even heard from Noah since he left. I told him when he was leaving that I wanted us to be friends, but he said that he couldn’t do that, so I highly doubt that he’s even spent one moment thinking about me. Besides, I’m with Reid, he knows that Ali, and so do you.”

Ali’s voice turned pleading, “I do know that Luke, that’s why I haven’t mentioned anything before, but you’re here and upset because of Reid and I just couldn’t keep quiet any longer.”

“To be fair, you haven’t really kept quiet Ali, I hear about it all of the time.”

“Casey, you’re not helping,” Ali snapped.

Casey sighed, “Fine, say your peace Ali, but then I never want to hear about Noah Mayer again. Do you understand me?”

Ali narrowed her eyes at her fiancé, “Fine.” She turned to face Luke, “Will you hear me out?”

Luke looked from Ali to Casey and then back again. He really didn’t want to sit through a ‘Noah’s the better man for you Luke’ lecture. He’d heard enough of them from his mother, but he figured he’d do Casey a favor and let Ali say her peace and then she’d never be able to mention it again.“Say what you need to say Ali.”

She smiled, “Thank you Luke. It started soon after Noah left for L.A., he’d promised to keep in touch, but I hadn’t heard from him for a few weeks, so I gave him a call. He sounded so sad and lost Luke. He told me how he’d seen you the day before he left and that you had said that you were in love with Reid and that you and Noah weren’t meant to be together. He explained that he didn’t really believe you at first, he just figured you were trying to make him jealous in order to get him to admit his true feelings for you. He said that he fully expected you to follow him to L.A. Can you imagine how heartbroken he was when he realized you weren’t coming after him?”

Luke was stunned, he had no idea that Noah had believed that he was lying to him about his feelings for Reid. Luke thought that he had made himself very clear to Noah. He supposed that in the past he had always chased after Noah every time they’d broken up, but that was the old Luke, he had changed over the last year. Even though Luke knew that it wasn’t his fault, he didn’t like hearing that Noah was in pain. Luke hated that Noah had refused to remain friends; he still cared for the man, he just wasn’t in love with him anymore.

“Ali, I’m sorry that Noah’s hurting and that he felt like he couldn’t talk to me about it…I told him that I still wanted to be there for him as a friend. I didn’t mislead him in any way, I was completely honest with him about my feelings for Reid and I told him that I was staying in Oakdale, I don’t know why he thought that I would go after him.”

“That’s all you have to say? You don’t feel bad that he’s suffering? Luke, I thought you loved Noah. He was always there for you; he loved you no matter how many times you screwed up, how can you just throw him away without a second thought?”

Luke was overcome with memories of his and Noah’s relationship. He could feel the old self doubt and insecurity clawing at him, “I…Ali, how can you ask me that? I loved Noah; I did everything for him, of course I care if he’s suffering.”

Casey couldn’t help the anger that was growing inside of him. He had watched Noah emotionally abuse his best friend for years. The day that Luke told Casey about his relationship with Reid, Casey saw how happy Luke was, happier than he’d been since he’d met Noah fucking Mayer. Now, after everything that Luke had overcome to finally find happiness, he was being made to feel guilty about it? Casey watched as Luke’s face fell and his shoulders slumped, he could see Luke reverting back into the insecure man that Noah had helped to create. This was unacceptable.

Ali didn’t notice the look on her fiancé’s face, or she may have realized that she was taking her support of Noah too far…

“Luke, you say that you loved Noah, but my God, you hooked up with Dr. Oliver when Noah was blind! How could you do that? And you’ve never apologized to him for abandoning him like that when he was in need. Maybe being with Reid really has changed you, and I’m sorry to say, not for the best.”

“Are you fucking kidding me?”

Ali looked over at Casey who had decided that he’d finally heard enough.

“Ali, I love you, but sometimes you’re fucking clueless! How can you sit there and say these things to Luke? You were there when he and Noah were together; you saw how miserable Luke was most of the time. How can you try and make him feel guilty for not missing that?”

Ali glared at Casey, “They had their ups and downs, all couples do, but they always managed to find their way back to each other.” She turned towards Luke, “Can you really say that you’re ready to give up on a future with Noah?”

Luke sighed, “I tried so hard to make things work with him Ali, but yes, I gave up on a future with Noah a long time ago.”

She shook her head as if she were unable to understand Luke’s words, “He still loves you Luke, you just haven’t tried hard enough! He can forgive you for hurting him, he has before. You just have to be willing to fight for him. Doesn’t he deserve that from you? He was always there for you and your family. He never would have treated Faith the way that Reid did!”

Luke nodded, “You’re right, he wouldn’t have…”

“No, he saved all of his emotional abuse for Luke!” Casey stood and started pacing around the room. He’d had enough! He’d spent years watching his best friend turn himself inside out trying to please that asshole Noah and he was not going to let Ali guilt Luke into feeling bad for not wanting to be with him anymore.

Ali rolled her eyes’, “What are you talking about Casey? Noah was nothing but honest and kind to Luke. He supported Luke and always encouraged him to be a better man.”

“Exactly!” Casey yelled, “He never thought Luke was good enough…he always tried to make him “better”. Luke was constantly trying to please Noah! But it was never good enough.”

Ali stood facing Casey, “I think you’re rewriting history!”

Casey nodded his head, “You’re right Ali, I don’t know what I was thinking. Noah was always there for Luke. Like the time he kissed Luke and then ran to Maddie denying that he had any feelings for him. Oh, and one of my personal favorites, the time when he married Ameera, and asked Luke and his family to lie to the government for her…Noah was definitely there for Luke during that fiasco.” Casey was still pacing back and forth, his hands flying around in mock excitement, “Oh wait, I know when Noah was there for Luke, when he went to the Dean of the university and told him that Luke and I had stuffed the ballot box. He was such a good boyfriend, trying to make Luke learn from his mistakes.” Casey walked over to Luke and slapped him on the back, “Luke buddy, Ali’s right, you would be so much better off with Noah than Dr. O.”

Luke knew the sarcasm in Casey’s voice was fueling Ali’s anger, “Guys, I think we should just drop this. I’m with Reid now, end of story.”

Casey saw that Ali was about to say something so he kept going, “No Luke there is still so much more to the Luke and Noah story that we haven’t even touched on. What about all of the times Noah “needed space”, and of course it was always Luke’s fault. I mean, if Luke hadn’t fallen in love with Noah, then Coronal Mayer would never have shot him, so obviously that was all Luke’s fault too, but lucky for him, Noah forgave him...again. And the best example of Luke screwing up and Noah forgiving him was Noah going blind. We all know that was all Luke’s fault! I mean, Noah certainly thought so. He pushed Luke away again and again during that time, and when Luke finally had enough and realized that he and Noah weren’t meant for each other, Noah thinks he’s just trying to manipulate him? What a fucking douche!”

Luke watched as Casey and Ali stood face to face glaring at each other. He hated that his friends were fighting, especially about him and Noah, because no matter what Ali said, or Noah thought, Luke was never going to go after Noah again. He had found true love; accepting and honest love; passionate and exciting love, and he was never going to settle for anything less again. It was then that Luke realized it was time for him to go home.

***

It was the middle of the night by the time Luke made it back to Oakdale. He’d decided not to call Reid to let him know that he was coming home, in case he was sleeping. Luke felt horrible for having left in the first place and he knew that he’d hurt Reid deeply. Luke intended to make it up to Reid by doing whatever it took in order to assure him that he would never run from him again.

The apartment was dark as Luke entered and put down his bag. He was heading to the bedroom when he caught sight of a figure on the couch; he slowly walked over and saw Reid, curled up in a ball, hugging a pillow tightly. Luke smiled a sad smile. He knew that Reid always hugged that pillow when he was feeling lonely, and as precious as the vision before him was, Luke vowed to make sure that Reid never needed that pillow for comfort again.

Luke slowly kneeled down and gently caressed Reid’s face. Luke knew that Reid was awake; he had memorized his breathing patterns months ago. Luke leaned over and laid soft kisses across Reid’s face from his hairline to his jaw; in between each kiss, he whispered, “I’m sorry.”

Reid opened his eyes’ cautiously, as if he were afraid that he was dreaming and if he moved too quickly Luke would disappear. Luke smiled softly and began to run his hand gently through Reid’s hair.

“Hey,” Luke whispered, leaning forward to place his forehead against Reid’s. Luke could feel Reid breathing against his neck, but he had yet to speak. Luke pulled back and looked into his eyes’, “I’m sorry that I left Reid. I shouldn’t have, can you forgive me?”

Reid was still looking at Luke as though he thought he was dreaming, but he dropped his clutch on his pillow and slowly sat up so that he was facing his boyfriend eye to eye. Reid pursed his lips and furrowed his brow in confusion. He hadn’t thought that he’d fallen asleep, but how else could he explain the fact that Luke was here; kneeling in front of him, running his hand through his hair, and looking at him like he loved him more than anything else in the world.

“Am I dreaming?” Reid whispered as he reached his hand out towards Luke’s cheek to see if the vision would vanish if he tried to touch it.

Luke smiled, “I’m real Reid, and I’m trying to apologize for running out on you.”

Reid shook his head as the realization that Luke was truly in front of him sank in, “You have nothing to be sorry for Luke. I was the one who acted like an ass; I’m sorry that I embarrassed you in front of your family.”

“You’re right, you were an ass, but I forgive you. Just try and tone it down a bit next time.”

“Next time? So, I’m not banned from any future family events?” Reid asked with mock enthusiasm.

Luke smirked, “Nope…in fact, I think we’ll go to even more now. It’ll be good for you to work on your people skills, since not everyone’s able to appreciate your dashing charm and impressive wit.”

Reid smirked, “I’m not worried about impressing anyone but you Mr. Snyder and I think that you like my charm and wit. In fact, I think everything about me turns you on.”

Luke looked up at Reid through his lashes as he licked his lips, “What makes you think that Doctor Oliver?”

Reid’s eyes raked over Luke’s body and then settled on the chocolate depths in front of him, “Because when I’m fucking you, you get so lost, you forget your own name.”

Luke rolled his eyes’, but he couldn’t stop the bulge that was growing in his jeans, “There’s that charm I was talking about…”

Reid placed his hand on Luke’s chest and ran it slowly down until he reached Luke’s already hard cock, “And here’s the evidence that it turns you on…”

Luke shook his head and laughed, “You’re unbelievable, you know that?”

Reid smiled as he brought his hand back up and cupped Luke’s cheek, “I really am sorry Luke.”

Luke leaned into Reid’s hand, “Me too. I never should have left, I know I scared you.”

Reid dropped his hands to his lap, “I wasn’t scared; I knew you’d be back.”

Luke took Reid’s hands in his own, “Uh huh, so that’s why I found you on the couch hugging your pillow.”

Reid sighed, “It’s not my pillow…it’s just a pillow and I…”

“Reid.”

Reid closed his eyes and took a deep breath, “God Luke, I was so scared I’d lost you. Never leave me again. Get mad, yell, cry, I don’t care…just don’t leave.”

Luke watched as a single tear fell from Reid’s beautiful eyes, he reached up and wiped it away with his thumb, “I’m here Reid; I’ll never leave again. I’m in this forever.”

Reid looked into the brown eyes before him and he saw the truth shining back at him; Luke was serious, he wouldn’t do this again. Reid smiled, “Can we have make up sex now?” He asked bouncing up and down on the couch cushions.

Luke stood up and held out a hand, “I’d like to think of what we’re about to do as the joining of our hearts and souls.”

Reid snorted, “I thought we were just gonna fuck. But I guess what you said sounds okay too.” He took Luke’s hand and followed him into the bedroom.

Luke turned and looked at Reid; he was so beautiful that Luke could only stare for a minute before he instructed Reid to take off his clothes. He watched as Reid did what he was told, smiling to himself at the fact that in the bedroom at least, Reid listened to Luke without any argument.

Once Reid was naked, Luke walked over to him and ran his fingers lightly down his body from his collarbone to his waist, “You are the most beautiful man I have ever seen.” Reid shivered under Luke’s touch; he was already having difficulty standing under the weight of Luke’s stare.

“Get on the bed,” Luke whispered.

Reid did as he was told, scooting up the bed until he reached the headboard. Luke took the time to just appreciate every inch of Reid’s body. By the time he reached Reid’s eyes, he saw so much love and desire staring back at him that he stopped breathing for a second. Then, with their eyes locked, Reid slowly began to bend his knees as he planted his feet firmly on each side of Luke’s body.

Luke understood the move for what it was; an invitation, a gift. They had been having sex with each other for over seven months now, and while Luke had topped, it was rare. It wasn’t that Reid didn’t enjoy being taken; he did, especially by Luke, but it was such an intimate act that it caused Reid to lose complete control, and that scared him. He didn’t like to be vulnerable, and Luke understood that, so he never pushed; he was more than happy to be the receiver of what Reid had to give.

Luke slid up and into the space Reid had made between his legs. He kept moving until his body was perfectly in line with Reid’s. He searched his eyes looking for any doubt or hesitation. Reid simply nodded his head, giving Luke the confirmation that he needed. Luke leaned in and kissed Reid deeply as he brought his hips down and started to grind his growing need with Reid’s. Before long, both men were whimpering and struggling to bring their bodies even closer together, allowing both to experience the most exquisite friction either had ever felt before.

Hands were clutching onto backs, lips were in battle, and cocks collided causing an epic explosion. Both men panted as they held each other close, trying to catch their breath. Luke looked at Reid and smiled, “Wow!” Reid chuckled, “Yeah.”

They lay together a while longer coming down from their high, resting for what was to come next.

Luke finally lifted himself off of Reid and sat back on his knees looking down at Reid’s cum covered chest, “Are you sure you want this?” he whispered.

“Say it.” Reid replied.

Luke knew what Reid needed to hear, and he had no problem saying it; it was the truth.

“I’m not going to ever leave you Reid. I’m yours; forever.”

With that Reid smiled and returned to his earlier position with his knees bent and feet planted on either side of Luke, “Show me how much you love me,” Reid said, his vulnerability leaking through his words.

Luke leaned forward and wiped some of the cum from Reid’s torso onto two of his fingers; he wasn’t sure who’s it was, probably a mixture of them both, which only turned Luke on more. He took his cum coated fingers and gently applied the substance to Reid’s hole, making sure that it was thoroughly covered. He then placed his fingers in his mouth and sucked off the remnants of their completion as he moaned, “So fucking good!”

Reid licked his lips in anticipation as he watched Luke scoot down so that his face was hovering directly above Reid’s leaking cock. Luke closed his eyes and took a deep breath, sucking in the scent of Reid; his dick twitched in response.

Luke began to leave soft kisses and nips along Reid’s inner thighs while Reid began to writhe and pant beneath him. Luke brought his mouth to Reid’s cock and licked the underside from base to tip, lightly sucking the precum from the tip. Reid’s body jerked up, trying to get Luke’s mouth to swallow his aching member. Luke smirked and pressed Reid’s hips back down to the bed; he loved sucking Reid off, but he had more pressing needs to fulfill.

Luke now focused in on his prize, Reid’s sweet little pucker; fuck Reid was so perfect! Luke almost came right there at the thought of Reid’s tight, hot ass wrapped around him. Luke looked up at Reid and saw that he was gripping the sheets with both hands, lifting his head trying to watch Luke work. Luke smiled at him as he leaned down and licked Reid’s crack down its length, just grazing past his hole. Reid shuttered and bucked, again trying to get Luke to give him what he wanted.

Seeing this beautiful man lost in ecstasy beneath him filled Luke with a sense of amazement. Reid loved him, wanted him for always. Luke knew he would never give this man up.

He brought his mouth to Reid’s entrance and blew. Luke had never done this before, but he knew what he liked when Reid did it to him, so he went with his instincts. He leaned closer, inhaling the scent of their cum mixed with Reid’s manly essence; it was intoxicating. Luke intended to take things slow, to build Reid’s pleasure over time, but as he flicked his tongue out and tasted Reid, he lost all control. His tongue began to lap at Reid’s hole, circling the entrance. Luke was sure he would never tire of this as he began to ravish the helpless man beneath him.

Reid was so lost in the sensations coursing through his body that all he could do was let out occasional sounds that had no discernable meaning. As Luke’s tongue ventured deeper into Reid, he lost all ability to think and simply felt. Luke was in him, on him, around him. Reid was sure this is what heaven would be, if he believed in such a place.

Luke begrudgingly pulled his tongue from his lover when he felt Reid’s stomach contract. Luke knew that Reid was close and he wanted to be inside of him as he came.

Luke licked his lips as he settled back on his knees and glanced up at Reid. He smiled when he saw the dazed look on Reid’s face. He looked so blissed out that Luke put the sight to memory for long days at the office when he needed a vision to pleasure himself with while away from Reid.

Reid was wet and ready thanks to Luke’s talented tongue. Luke rubbed some precum from Reid’s cock and spread it down his own shaft trying to slick himself up before he entered Reid. He gently lined himself up at Reid’s hole and smiled down at the gorgeous man beneath him, “I’ll go slow,” Luke whispered. Reid nodded his head slightly as he panted out in little puffs.

Luke began to move into Reid slowly; he could feel Reid tighten automatically. “Reid, it’s okay babe, I’m not going to hurt you. Let me show you how much I love you.” Reid looked into Luke’s eyes and saw truth and commitment mixed within the love and desire. Luke was really his; he would never leave him again. “Say it again,” Reid whispered.

As Luke began to push further into Reid he said, “I’m never going to leave you. I’m yours; forever.” Reid sighed and Luke felt the difference immediately as Reid’s muscles relaxed.

This was the first time that Luke had taken Reid raw, and he was overwhelmed by the feeling of Reid’s hot, tight hole constricting around his bare cock.

“Oh my God Reid you are so fucking tight; so good.”

Reid was starting to feel more pleasure than pain and he reached around Luke and grabbed onto his back, “Fuck me Luke. Claim me as your own. I’m yours; forever.”

Luke nearly lost it as he leaned in and kissed Reid deeply, slowing his thrusts to try and control his need for release.

“It’s okay Luke,” Reid whispered into his ear, “You can have me again as soon as we recover. Just let go; I want to feel you cum inside my ass, and then I want to watch you lick it out of me.”

Luke felt shivers traveling down his entire body at Reid’s words. He pushed himself off of Reid’s shoulder and looked into Reid’s eyes, “You want me to fuck you Reid? Do you want it hard? Fast? Tell me what you want.”

Reid leaned up and ran his tongue along Luke’s lips, “I want you to fuck me hard and fast; touch my soul Luke.”

Luke pulled back to Reid’s entrance and then slammed back in; hitting Reid’s prostrate causing him to scream out in pleasure. Luke repeated the movement over and over again, until both men were drenched in a mixture of sweat and cum and shaking as they held onto to each other, neither wanting the moment to ever end.

As they both came down wrapped up in each other, Luke turned his head so that he could see Reid’s face, “Did you mean what you said Reid?”

“Hum?”

“Can we do that again? Today?”

Reid used what little energy he had to laugh at the hopeful tone in Luke’s voice, “As soon as I recover from what you just did to me.”

Luke smirked, “I just rocked your world old man.”

Reid sighed contently, “You just knocked it off its fucking axis.”

By nine in the morning Reid thought he just might die of dehydration. He was sure his body had been depleted of all fluids. He was laid out on the bed flat on his back, arms and legs sprawled out in every direction. Luke was nuzzled into his chest with his eyes closed and a smile on his face. Reid rolled his eyes at the look of bliss on Luke’s face. But deep inside, he was just as happy. He would never admit it to Luke, but what they had just spent the last several hours doing truly was a melding of their hearts and souls. Reid knew without a doubt that they would be together forever.

Luke stirred as he tried to get a glimpse at the clock, “time’s it?” he mumbled.

Reid smiled and ran his hand through Luke’s drenched hair, “We have an hour before the board meeting.”

Luke groaned, “Fuck.” He slowly sat up and ran a hand through his hair, “We both need a shower, should we take one together since we’re running late?” Luke asked as he waggled his brows at Reid.

Reid laughed, “You’re out of your fucking mind if you think I’m letting you anywhere near my dick.”

Luke rolled his eyes, “Right, like you can resist me…”

Reid threw his legs over the side of the bed with a groan, “I never thought the day would come, but you’ve broke me Luke.” Reid looked down at his limp penis and sighed, “My boy is down for the count.”

Luke peeked over at little Reid and grinned, “I bet I could help him get up…”

Reid stood up, “No! You stay away from him. You’re cut off…” Reid looked at the clock, “For at least the next eight hours.”

Luke sighed, “Why did I have to fall in love with an old man?”

Reid smirked, “Shut up you little shit or I’ll make it a day.”

“You wouldn’t dare…” Luke said in mock horror, putting a hand to his mouth.

Reid put on as serious a face as was possible given the fact that he was naked and limping towards the bathroom, “Just try me…”

Luke pouted, “You’re no fun.”

Luke heard Reid mumble something and was about to ask him what he’d said when he heard his phone ringing. He flinched at the soreness of his muscles as he reached across to the nightstand trying to grab it before it stopped ringing.

“Hello,” he managed as he fell back to the bed.

“Luke? Are you okay?

“Faith? Yeah, I’m fine; just tired. What’s up?”

“I’m just calling to ask if you and Reid are busy on Saturday night.”

Luke was surprised that Faith was asking, especially since the last time he’d seen her she was screaming about how much she hated Reid.

“Um, I’m not sure; I think we’re free, why?”

“Well, there’s this concert in Chicago that I’m dying to go to and Mom won’t let me go without an adult and according to her, you count.”

“Gee, thanks Faith. I don’t mind driving you, but Reid will be with me…is that going to be a problem?”

“No, why would it be?”

Luke was so confused, “The last time I talked to you Faith, you said you never wanted to see Reid again. That was two days ago.”

“Yeah, but that was before Reid apologized.”

“Before he what? Did you just say that he apologized to you?”

“Luke are you high or just stupid? Yes Reid apologized to me and I forgave him. End of story.”

“First of all, don’t talk to me like that…”

“Sorry…so, will you guys take me?”

“Let me check with Reid and I’ll call you back.”

“K’, thanks Luke.”

Luke couldn’t believe it…Reid had actually apologized. And he didn’t even tell Luke that he had, that had to mean that it was sincere. Luke decided that Reid definitely deserved a reward for his good behavior and he smiled as he made his way to the shower.

Luke opened the shower door and stepped in, smiling when Reid looked up and saw him standing there.

“Luke?” Reid asked at the look of complete concentration on his boyfriends face.

Luke didn’t speak, he simply fell to his knees and went to work on raising little Reid’s spirits. Reid tried to protest, but it was a weak attempt and he soon found himself spread out on the seat they had installed in the shower for just such occasions. Reid stared in awe at the beautiful man on his knees in front of him; sometimes its exhausting being Luke Snyder’s boyfriend, but fuck was it worth it!
