Part Eight-Two: "I can't let him die alone. Nobody deserves that."
Oh my God, y'all, Luke is so pretty. And holy smokes I've been so busy lately with a new project at work and a book (or several) coming out soon that I've not been keeping up with fandom at all. Gosh, Luke. I've missed your face. And your hair. And your FACE!
Now, where were we? Oh. Okay.
Lucy tries to convince Luke to let her look at Damian, but Luke says no, and he's going to go to Malta to be with Damian during his death.
Then we go to the coffee shop where Jade, who sounds like she's got a cold, asks Luke about his mother and asks him to tell her if there is a change in Lily. Jade is appalled that Luke is going to leave his sick mother to go with his father to Malta. Damian appears and puts a stop to that conversation.
Holden and Lucy talk about Luke, and Lucy breaks her word and tells Holden that she feels sure that Damian is lying to Lucy. Holden says, "I don't quit on my kids, Lucy, and Damian's gonna learn that the hard way." (He sure seemed to quit on Luke at the point when he said he had three kids with Lily, but whatever.)
Luke runs off Jade and tells Damian that he's sad because he just said goodbye to his mother, and Damian tells him not to worry that Luke can come back. Damian says, "Soon we'll be on our way." Luke is upset and says that no matter what he chooses, he'll be saying goodbye to someone he loves.
Holden wants to prove that Damian is a liar.

Apparently, Lucy and Holden have hatched some kind of plan that will put Lucy at risk both in her reputation and her life, but it's worth it to save Luke. (Yes, it is!! Luke is worth the world!!)
Luke is packing his personal belongings since he's going to be in Malta for a long time. Damian says he'd give anything to have more time with his kid and that Luke's given him a good reason to live. Damian discourages Luke from taking books because he'll be too busy to read. Reading is probably gay, yo. He needs to surf and be outdoors.
Luke says, "Damian, you're my father, it's not a sacrifice, or at least it won't be if you let me help you."
Oh, Luke. You are made of nothing but love. I adore you. I love you so much. Seriously, how could anyone have ever been as mean to you as Noah was? I swear all Luke ever wanted was to love someone and be loved in return. I WILL NOT CRY ABOUT THE ENDING THAT NEVER HAPPENED, DAMMIT. :( IT'S BEEN ALMOST TWO YEARS FFS.
Lucy and Damian have some conversation were Damian refers to himself as a hot, very hot invalid. Uh, I might have added the 'hot' part, but he was definitely thinking it about himself. Then they hug. Lucinda shows up and really loses it on Lucy, and they have a good, hard family spat. I like it. Lucy says she's moving out and Damian seems happy about it. Are they gonna DO IT? I think they will end up doing it. I can't recall, though, if my suspicions are correct. It's been a long time since I watched this arc, but I have my suspicions that Damian is gonna invalid his sexy self all up in Lucy.

Luke is surprised that Lucy is moving in. Damian and Lucy are being very sexy with each other in front of uncomfortable Luciano. Luke is suspicious and asks Lucy what she's really doing there. OH, as it turns out, Lucinda and Lucy were faking it! Oh, duh. I should've guessed that. I love that Lucinda feels bad about saying mean things even if it was planned. Oh, regretful Lucinda, you were not often in evidence on this show. :)
