Part Forty-five: "You and Kevin seem like really good friends"
Holden insists to Lily that Luke lied to them and is seeing Kevin. Meanwhile, at the hip concert by Chicago Indie Band, who apparently suck (but their first single was so promising!), Kevin takes Luke to the locker room to sneak a drink and ask him if Luke is dating his cousin Jade. (It's Oakdale, so Kevin must be very accustomed to incesty romances.)
Kevin cockteases Luke by playfully wrestling with him. Jade witnesses these shenanigans, but quietly leaves because the girl knows repressed homosexuality when she sees it. When he realizes Jade is gone, Luke frets that Jade won't be able to hold up to Lily and Holden's interrogation. Luke has no idea who he's dealing with.

At Casa Snyder, Jade smoothly lies to Holden and Lily, saying Luke told Kevin to get lost and that she left Luke alone at the concert because she didn't like the band. Luke rushes home and takes some lessons from Jade in lying to his parents. Jade assures Luke that he can trust her. After all, she's family!
