Part Twenty-Seven: "I don't have any time to waste; I almost ran out of it recently."

Nov 14, 2011 08:42

The day has finally arrived! Van Hansis is now playing the part of Luke Snyder, which is awesome because Van was the best Luke ever, and because that means we'll get all of his story, not just some patchwork quilt of clips we've found scattered around YouTube. So YAY for that!

Although things are better for us now that Van is here, they haven't gotten all that much better for Luke. Yeah, he's out of the hospital and his kidney seems to be doing its job, but Keith is still around keeping his parents apart. Holden now knows that Lily agreed to marry Keith so he'd get Luke a kidney, but doesn't quite get why Lily can't bring herself to break things off with Keith now that Luke actually has the kidney. Yeah, you and me both, Holden.

Luke is back in the hospital for a routine follow-up, and even so the main thing he cares about is getting his parents back together -- he wants Holden to ask Lily to come spend Christmas with them. And he's not above laying on a guilt trip to get his way... and immediately apologizing for it! Oh, Luke! I love you!
