That's cause Lucinda is amazing, love her. I liked Lily's character and her firt actress, and the only reason I dislike her is her irrational love of You-Know-Who...>:(

Lucinda is rocking awesome! Sometimes she's rude, but she is a strong woman and there aren't enough of those in soaps.

Argh - this is so sad. Luke's spent a lot of his life in emotional pain and really deserved a HEA. I mean I get it that soap opera characters need to have drama in their life in order to be interesting but it just seems that he spent a lot of time REALLY unhappy. And unlike most soap characters, his pain wasn't always self-inflicted. I'd put it at 50-50, I guess?

A better person than I wouldn't have laughed when Luke hit Keith. I suspect that we're supposed to feel sympathy towards Keith when Luke tells him some home truths about the Lily/Holden relationship but IIRC he, was always a jerk.

Lucinda - love her or hate her, she must have been an incredibly fun character for EH to play. She always had more on the ball than other characters [except for the brief period of being married to a gay man] and had more humor in her part than most.

If anyone deserved a HEA it was Luke. :( I still resent the hell out of those writers/producers.

It was hard for me to imagine Luke hitting anyone, but I think "mean and pretty irrational" drunk is a good description.

I don't know anything about Keith except for his involvement in the upcoming kidney drama, but he seems somewhat decent here.

Don't forget Luke punched Mason "Scarf Man" Jarvis at the hospital and broke his nose. Luke was basically a kind loving soul, but there was a dark angry side that occasionally surfaced, especially when he drank.

I am not familiar with Luke's story line pre-Reid, so I am really enjoying catching up during this re-watch.

Yep, he punched Mason and as Peggin mentions below he punched Casey once while drunk, too, so he's definitely capable of it! :) He's got hidden darkness, yo.
