...that I hadn´t knitted a single stitch on Elsa´s cardigan for three weeks straight. I have knitted lots of tiny scarfs instead, which apparently was more fun to do. The problem is that the cardigan has to be finished at Christmas. Should be finished- I will definitely miss the goal. I haven´t been this lethargic for a long time, am only good at starting projects, so it seems. I wasn´t even interested in writing when so many others were. I am mostly reading now- reading in the early morning, reading after housework, after lunch. And I doze off the moment I sit in front of the TV. Must be some sort of Christmas blues. At least there are some errands to do for me tomorrow. One of them is get a present for my friend. She is a so-called Krampus child- as some of you will remember, the fifth of December is Krampustag in our country. Hubby will take the boys to a Krampuslauf together with their mum. Cassian really has a passion for spooky characters! Krampus and Halloween he loves most, even more than Christmas. Though this year´s final project is catch Santa red-handed when he comes down the chimney. The only thing he cannot fathom is how the stout bringer of gifts will fit through their stove pipe. Poor son number two, he will be in for a rough night, when his two sons will leave their beds to have a sleepover in the guestroom on the upper floor, and he has to follow them. If he hears them. Otherwise the boys will have unpacked all presents long before morning. Cassian is very good at waking during night while his parents are good at sleeping. That´s one thing I won´t ever understand- why does DiL insist on Santa bringing presents, when the boys get most of them on Christmas Eve. I hope Elsa will not hear about it, or her parents will have a hard time next year!
I just went through my photos on my mobile. Apparently we had quite a lot of snow at the end of last year´s November. And in December, too- there are pictures of a white December 22nd. On 23rd I have pictures of garden furniture strewn across the lawn and all snow gone- obligatory thaw around Christmas must have burst upon us with an unholy bang! Not much snow this year so far, and if I had mny way it could stay so for the rest of the season!
Hubby cooked today´s lunch- burgers! He bought the patties a week ago and put the in the freezer. I ate one and did not like the taste. Since when do burger patties have seasoning beyond salt and a bit of pepper? My stomach is a bit upset yet again. Or maybe it´s the Christmas music I turned on on YT which upset the poor thing! This one definitely favours very strange harmonies...
