Sunday again
Hubby and I got up late- it´s Sunday, and we are allowed to. After breakfast husband left for number one, who has eneormous problems with the drain in the kitchen. Seems that son will need a plumber- the boys did not find any obstructions, yet the water won´t drain off. At the moment the family has to rinse dishes manually in a bucket and carry the washing water to the loo. Definitely not funny! Meanwhile I did knit a bit then decided to go out into the garden to tidy up some more- we are supposed to get snow on Wednesday. Snow fronts usually come with lots of strong winds, so I fixed the waterproof cover on the couch. I was happy to be back in the house, because outside it was two degrees only- that´s what they call a warmer day than the day before? I had not noticed that we had zero yesterday! Back home hubby did Surschnitzel which got eaten with the rest of the potato salad, so no cooking for me!
Hubby has done the washing, even hung it up, which led to a drastic drop of temperature in the living room. I took a selfmade blanket and took a rest in font of the TV. I have to repeat: I never learn from mistakes. The couch I rested on will give everyone back pain. I am no exception. The rest of the day got spent with knitting and Amazon scouring. Not that I need to order things, but oh, the possibilities! Yet no idea for a present for hubby- what do you gift to a man who says he has no need for anything? Maybe a bike repair workshop, so that he does not have to cycle 25 kilometres to the bike shop when the brakes won´t work properly? I am open to suggestions!
