What a weekend....
Hey Everyone,
Let's just say this 4 day weekend was a waste of my life...Heck, I can't even point out anything truly interesting. All 4 days were very much a blur of a waste of time.
Okay here's what's been going on...In Indianapolis, the "US Chess Open" was held in this hotel. So, my Dad wanted to enter and he did. I can't remember how much it is to enter, but still...DANG it's just nuts. Oh, and we didn't stay on the hotel, we stayed in this hotel that was a good half hour away from the dang building.
As far as I'm concerned...the Chess tournament is just an EXTREMELY expensive convention.
What sucks is you CAN'T talk when you're in the chess room. Oh and with about 2 games of chess a day. That's a long time. Why? A game can last up to over 3 hours. X.x
I don't mind the not talking. But it's so stinking quiet in the room...You could drop a pin and everyone would get irritated at ya. (Though I was tempted way too much.)
I have to admit though...There were surprisingly a few attractive guys there. Though most of them were pretty boy wannabe's. There was no guy with abs or muscles. Heck it was almost invasion of the beer bellies or bigger things. I've not seen this many pant suspenders in my life. I'm surprised they didn't sell Chess based suspenders in the little "con store". Belive me when I say they had a HUGE selection of Chess based things. And all of them in my mind were worth nothing in my mind. Though there was this chess set that was all naked statues...>.>
The worst part was I couldn't even use the gym. T_T The hotel we stayed at didn't have one, and the one where the "tournament" was had a gym, but it was closed for renovations. JUST MY LUCK!
So...That was my weekend for ya....Oh, and lets add one more scoop of intrest for everything...
Two weeks from now, I start Classes. Wow, it's almost here.
