alrite, so last nite i had my first day as a supervisor. i had a lil meeting with the HR lady carly.. shes pretty fricken hot. anyhow, i was all nervous and stuff. ilooked nice all except for my kinda haggard timbalands. so i was late to the presort meeting because of the meeting in HR. i had no idea where to go after the HR thing so i just went up to the supervisor room and waited for someone i knew to show up. pierre finally comes in and the first thing i hear is "yeah, i dont know why, but he's late on his first day" and he had a huge smile on his face as he exclaimed this over the radio haha fuckin fag.. makin me look like an ass on the first day.
turns out.. im supervising Metro 2 unload. i have about 8 employees under me, and a bigger responsibility than any of the front end unload supervisors. i have 5 "lines" to take care of.. a line is a section where they unload the little brown package cars. each line has 28 open spaces where they park the cars. then there are about 15 or so "modules" which dont really have a space, they bring them in to get unloaded, then park them outside again. i have to keep track of every one that's getting unloaded, and at the end of the night i have to walk every one of them to make sure there are no packages left inside, and make sure they're all accounted for and unloaded.
it was a pretty good first night. i got the basics of it down pretty good. i need to start working on not being so nervous and acting shy and shit. i need to just act how i normally do around there. just cuz i have a tie on, i have no reason to deviate from my modus operandi.
i got 2 of the new style polo shirts as well.. the other sups. were all jealous haha
it was really coo till i got done and started to drive home and stuff. i got all emo and shit thinking dang, i sure would like to have someone to call up and share all this excitement with.. you know.. someone who actually cared.. not that i couldnt call up a friend, i would have just liked to call up or stop by at a certain someone's pad to talk with them and stuff.. i dunno, whatev's as russell says.
im sure everything will be da bomb diggity tonite as well.. i should have it down patent by friday.. i better, cuz i get turned loose on my own on friday :)
