I would hardly call it relaxing when the amount of said downpour would threaten a flood.

Well, my place on the upper level is already gone courtesy of the fire, and the general store has a solid roof and plenty of space on the second floor... so for now, I'm just going to be thankful for what I can be.

From my observations of what has happened thusfar, it would seem that I have more to "get used to" than many of those who arrived before me, and before this disaster.

Nah, you just got dropped here at a bad time. Other than the occasional disaster or rampaging... something, the only other major hurdle is finding a job and getting through your first month so you can move to the... well, slightly better part of town.
