It's not flat, though. It did go up, and it looks like it went up about the same amount as in previous weeks. Looks like it's just that people watch NCIS and DVR other stuff. The Penelope Papers had the biggest growth and that was one night when there was a playoff game.
I should have specified that I was looking at the A18-49 rating/share part, not the total audience; usually NCIS ratings/share is adjusted up in the few hours between the releases of the overnights and the final ratings. *g*
I think in the previous season it happened once or twice but it's interesting to say the least, it's great seeing NCIS holding steady over the last couple of seasons.
It would seem this season the ratings are holding utterly steady - very few dips or peaks. And remarkably, it seems the show doesn't require Tiva or much/any focus on Ziva in order to be a massive ratings hit, which is what we said all along. I'm glad it's back to the ensemble and teamwork - we'd all been missing that it's lovely to see it make a return.
