I ALMOST FORGOT...
Today, I was working, and a story happened to unfold in front of my eyes...
*work, work, work* I was checking out a woman, I think. At any rate, I left my normal area to help put bags in the buggy. I was turned to walk back towards the register, and something hit my ass and legs...HARD. I'm not talking a gentle tap or a playful pat, it was almost as if someone was trying to rape me.
I thought at first it was a guy friend of mine I work with, just being a dick. And a serious dick, because that kind of force was uncalled for.
My next thought was that some customer had actually bumped me on purpose. The longer it took to turn around and the more I thought about it, the angrier I got.
I turned around. There was no one behind me. Not at MY eye level at least. Then I looked down...
It was a girl. A girl about 8-10 years old. She looked up at me, smiled, and said, "Sorry." And then ran away. It just got worse. Her family was checking out right behind me and all I could think was, "Their daughter's face just touched my ass. Children should never have their face that close to my not booty. Ever."
Gross.
