Haha. I haven't updated in a really long time. Not that it really matters.

I have no life, so not much has been going on.

My friend came to stay with me again this past week. That was nice, I always love it when people come to visit me, and him and I seem to get along really well. We did have our first "fight" when he was here (if you want to call it that), but we got over it, and I'm glad it's out of the way. I have no clue when I'll see him again. :-Þ

I saw another friend of mine this past week, also. It was awesome up until he realized he had no keys to the handcuffs that chained me in the table in the living room. I guess it's kinda funny in retrospect. Please don't ask how I ended up in handcuffs, k, thx.

OH, YEAH. Some band boy from MySpace asked me out on a date a couple of weeks ago. I bailed because I wasn't feeling well. I haven't heard from him since. He wasn't that cute, and I don't really feel like dating anyone right now. No big loss.

Another guy from MySpace has been talking to me. He's kinda cute, but much too old for me. I'll let you know if anything comes from that, but you shouldn't get your hopes up.

And the BIG story?! I'll try to explain this the best way I can. It's much easier in person when I can use my hands and a teddy bear for example. I guess we'll see.

Where I was isn't important. All you need to know is that this place had a waiting room. Now, imagine looking a square room from one side. On the right side of the room, there are chairs against the wall, with a flat screen TV between them. On the left side, there are more chairs. On the far side of the room, there are also a few chairs. This place was getting filled up fast, so I sat down on the left side, put my purse beside me, and went back to reading the book I brought while occasionally glancing up at the television. I was sitting next to an elderly black woman who must have been the grandmother of the adorable little girl sitting across from me. The little girl was on one side of the TV, and who I assume was the little girl's mother was on the other side of the TV.

OMG. I totally drew a map! I am completely awesome. ^_^

Okay, so the little girl was looking at a magazine. The grandmother mentioned something about what was on television, and the girl was leaning out of her seat, trying to look at the screen. This was not going very well. She was just too tiny. Not wanting to see her struggle, I stood up with my book and my purse. I took a step or two towards her, smiled, and asked, "Would you like to switch seats with me?" The girl got out of her seat and looked up at me. She nodded slowly and I walked around her to sit down in the seat she had been sitting in.

I sat my purse down next to the chair, and opened my book to start reading again. To my surprise, the little girl did not go sit in the seat I had been sitting in. Instead, she walked right back over to me, and began to try to crawl into my lap. I wasn't angry, just completely taken by surprise, and then I panicked, wondering if her mom/grandmother would think I was incredibly creepy. Everyone in the waiting room started to chuckle when she crawled into my lap. Her grandmother didn't sound angry or surprised, just a little embarrassed. "Get out of her lap!!!" she said. The girl didn't listen. I just smiled and said, "It's okay..." I lifted her up onto my lap, thinking she was just bored and wanted someone to talk to. And apparently, her mom/grandmother weren't too upset. After she was in my lap, she reached over for the book I was reading. She began to flip through it. I laughed and said, "I don't think you'll like that book very much, there aren't any pictures." She put the book down and got off my lap.

She made her way over to my purse. She looked inside, then pulled out one of my key chains. She looked at it and asked a few questions. She set down that key chain, and pulled out the second one. She looked at that one for a few seconds, then reached in my purse again. This time she pulled out my wallet. Of course, her grandmother said, "Stop that! Leave that alone!" While I didn't really care what she pulled out of my purse, I started to get nervous that she'd find either the condoms or the knife in the middle section. Not to mention I had $70 in my purse and would be devastated if anything happened to it. I took the wallet out of her hand and said, "Let's put this down..." I set my things back in my purse, and then helped her climb back into my lap.

She picked up a magazine from the table next to us (the TV was on the wall above the table in case you're confused as to why that wasn't on the map, fu) and I held it in front of us. We looked through the magazine and she was pretty smart. I asked her what her favorite color was, she pointed out every Christmas tree, and other simple pictures. Just basic things, nothing special. I mean, she didn't know numbers or how to read, but she was really tiny, so she might have been too young for that. I think she mentioned she was in playschool. At least, that's what she said happened when I asked her about the orange cast on her arm. :-\ (Can't help it, it's the social worker in me!)

Anyway, when it was time to leave, the little girl handed me my book and my purse before walking out the door. She was just too cute. So, we can either gather that I look very approachable or the girl felt I had stolen her seat. :) Draw your own conclusions.

Blah, blah, blah. Maybe I'll have some more interesting stories next time. We'll see. :)
