It took a lot to put one past Major James Anthony Riley. It was a fact that Addie had not only gotten used to, but pretty much used as a guideline to her daily routine. He knew when she had done laundry because her hair would smell of a dryer sheet, he knew if she had lunch with Ronon because her tone would be a bit more surly than usual. Jim had

As she greeted Aedeline and saw the look of complete happiness upon her face she only wished that she would remember that feeling for as long as she endured, because Teyla knew that it would be one to hold onto.
Taking a place among the crowd she managed to find John along with Shannon, who was looking very pregnant. There was a moment of concern for her friend, because it was not sure what kind of stress wormholes put onto unborn children, but she was sure that Shannon had gotten clearance from someone.
"You look extremely healthy," whispered Teyla to her friend as she glanced around some more catching Heira's eye for a moment as well. It was good to see her within the walls of Atlantis, and among others. Nudging her elbow into John she smiled, "I was not one to think that Aedeline could pull this off, but it seems she has done quite well for them."
There was something in Shannon that Teyla recognized slightly, "Did you know of this?"

He let his eyes wander over the Atlantis scenery, trying not to pout over the fact that as soon as the party was over, it was back to Earth with him. It was nice to be able to take a break like this, with Shan, away from Woody everything that seemed to nag at them back home.
Just two old friends having a good time. At a surprise wedding. In another galaxy. No one said it was conventional.
"This story's going to be told for a long time coming."

Teyla had herself on more than one occasion found herself bombarded with Jim knowing things that she knew he could not have known without some form of acute study. Shaking her head she smiled as the ceremony continued, and watched as Jim continued trying to keep up some form of his normal mannerisms just to offset that he truly was on the spot for what Teyla was sure was the first time in a while.
She was happy for the couple, knowing how hard it was to find time for love in such a place... in such hard times, however they had not only found each other, but found love so quickly. It made her extremely honored to know both of them so well.
Turning to Daniel she smiled, "Yes I am sure the Major will be using it as conversation for many weeks to come, most will begin with 'Have I mentioned...' and end with a proclamation of his love for her."

The small group of them stood witness to the vows, and the heartfelt confessions that came from their two friends. It truly was a touching thing to be a part of, and Teyla was honored that they had been allowed into something that could be seen as a private moment for the two of them. Being there, being a part of that day meant a great deal to Teyla and she would remember this for the rest of her days.
She would also probably not easily forget Jim shouting to the entire population of Atlantis, and quite possibly the mainland as well about how he had won in life. It was quite a sight, as well as a lot to hear. Teyla could tell that Addie was a bit embarrassed and hoped that it was something that she was used to by this point, because if she was not then she was in for quite a lifetime.
