It took a lot to put one past Major James Anthony Riley. It was a fact that Addie had not only gotten used to, but pretty much used as a guideline to her daily routine. He knew when she had done laundry because her hair would smell of a dryer sheet, he knew if she had lunch with Ronon because her tone would be a bit more surly than usual. Jim had

Formality was the big thing to get out of the way, and if they kept this up they would be standing there in front of all these people for a bit longer than they really needed to be. Mike still managed to get Jim to let go of her for a moment and she welcomed the hug, pulling him tight as she stood on tiptoes, "Hardest thing I've had to do since basic, and trust me I wanted to tell you a few times now, but I know you guys a bit too well to know that wouldn't have been too wise on my part."
Pulling back she grinned at Mike, scrunching her nose a bit, "I did good though didn't I."
Moving away from Mike she turned toward the crowd that was still standing there and laughed, as she waved Dr. Weir over. "So this is going to be more on the spotness for you Jim, but though I'm sure you love the attention. Elizabeth has offered to perform our ceremony and I gratefully accepted her offer the moment she suggested it."
Turning to Dr. Weir she smiled genuinely again, "I really do appreciate it Elizabeth, finding someone that could do this for us on such short notice was almost going to make me a bit crazy."

She was more than impressed with the way that the normally bubbly Addie Sorokin had managed to keep something of this magnitude secret from Jim Riley the entire time she had.
"It's my pleasure, Lieutenant. Major." Elizabeth waved to the surrounding crowd and they quieted down. "Are you sure you're ready?"

The mile a minute thought process was having a field day in her head, flitting in all sorts of reminders of how her parents marriage was horrible, or how her mom was never really happy, and how she thought she had been ready before... but when she glanced to her side and saw Jim there it all vanished away.
The doubt, the fear, the general sensation of the room spinning off it's axis just stopped, because not only was she ready, but she was sure of it. Inhaling a deep breath she smiled brightly, and turned back to Weir, "I'd say as ready as I'd ever be, but I'm thinking I'm way beyond that point right now." Nodding she glanced at all of her friends, and finally back to Elizabeth, "I'm sure."

But she was sure. She was sure, and they were doing this. Beaming, he offered her his arm, wagging his eyebrows playfully. "So we gonna got the chapel and get married or what?"
"Or what." Mike chimed in teasingly.
"Shut it, baby brother. You're my best man...so best man it up."

She leaned back glancing at Mike from behind Jim and just smiled at him. She was really glad he was there, not that he wouldn't have been or anything. Mike would have to pull double duty for them anyway because Addie hadn't even thought of the whole Maid of Honor thing and well she just wanted this part to be over as quick as she could make it go.
"There's no chapel, there is *Gateroom*... and as soon as you are quiet enough for Elizabeth to start? We'll get with the married part," Addie teased.

A smile came over her face and she began the ceremony.
"We're gathered here to celebrate the joining of Aedeline Inessa Sorokin and James Anthony Riley."
Simple words, yet they meant so much. As she spoke the traditional ceremonial beginning, she kept her gaze trained on the bride and groom.
"Addie? You had special vows you wished to recite?" When she was done, she would ask Jim if he had anything he wished to say. Knowing how his mind worked? She was certain he would.
