Has anyone else seen this amazingly cool movie? I remember hearing about it months ago, then seeing the book with the entire movie's script in Dymocks one day (i'm not kicking myself for not buying it then). I saw it last night after it finally came out on DVD, alas, no cinema release. It's Jim Henson movie but imagine...if Jim Henson was on acid...and then had an insane child...that child thought of the idea for this movie. It's slightly Wizard of Oz-esque but it is original in it's premise. The design is AMAZING, I loved the appearence of the whole movie, I did think they went abit overboard with the CG, some of the sets could have been built but the CG sets were pretty amazing. The character of Helena was played very well and...yea just see it! If any parent wanted to raise their child to be cool...and slightly scared of everything..they'd see this movie with their kids.

I have a feeling Mirrormask will be one of those movies that's just for me and not anyone else.. kinda like Mysterious skin but with less Paedophelia.

So today i woke up at the abysmal time of 9.50 to go to Garden city, being cool and open on sunday, with Louise. We went boot shopping...in one store and i loved seeing her walk over to a sale assistant, barefoot and holding a boot, asking for assistance, child, you're so ballsy you odn't know how weird that looked. Then we wined and dined at Myers, the chicken roll was loverly as always and Louise had to wait the time it ook me to finish my chicken roll to get her chicken suprise...unfortunately there was no chicken suprise under the cheese...only chicken.. we were both dutifully dissapointed.

Then i left her to go to work at quarter to 1 only to find out ONCE AGAIN i'd misread the roster and my shift started at 1.30, Sharron put me on anyway so i'll get paid abit extra so..w00t. Hrmm..so yes...in closing...MIRRORMASK.
