Actual work post

I fear I may actually become one of those people that ONLY talks about work on their LJ...but i mean, it's about my first shift of work EVER so i think i gets a little leigh-way mmk? mmk!

Mumma Turner had to go to the city shopping so I had to bus it to my first shift. I shoved my clothes in my bag and wore my work shoes which, luckily are stylishe nough to pass off as normal. So I head off to the newsagents, get their with my bank details and what not and change into my work clothes... I'm a bit miffed i don't have a shirt that fits me but i tuck it in so it doesen't look so bad anyway. Sharon was a bit questioning about my BSB but i've checked it and it's right so the hoe is GOING to pay me.. grrr. Then I get inroduced to Katie, the floor manager, who wa slooking after me that day and she was so cool, she was all smiles and joy and such. Hahaha, when I got given the contract I walked up to my mum and did this little "YES!" kind of motion...Katie saw me and remembered it. :S. I also worked with Wes who was the other guy on the counter and he seems pretty cool...Kinda like a plainer version of Ian Somerhalder...eyes like SAPHIRES people, SAPHIRES. Sharon wanted this girl called Ella to train me but she foistered me off onto Katie, which i'm glad for... I get a bitch vibe from Ella...and then later i find out she's the bosses daughter... :S

I thought that Sharon was the owner of the store but it turns out that this woman at the back of the store, Mrs B, owns the store with her husband and they've owned it for about 13 years.. SHARON AND ELLA ARE THEIR KIDS.:| So that's another person i have to be nice to.. They have another son called like...Atta or something but i haven't met him yet as he works with their dad at a nursery they own in applecross... God bless Katie for explaining their family tree to me. Apparently Sharon isn't the nice guy I thought he was and he gets Uber bossy when he's cross so...let's all just keep him happy shall we?

Now, customers. No one very bad. I keep like staring people down who go to someone else to be served and they probably find me a little freaky... i should stop doing that. This fat asian guy bought all these big heavy magazines and then said "i'll be back for them in a second" and him and his family go on a 15 minute tour of the bloody store while i'm stuck with their bags.. then Katie taught me the miracle of the hold order, it rockzors...though for some reason i'm not supposed to use it... Perhaps there's some painful memories in the hold function for Sharon and his family. No one wanted to buy cigarettes off me :( I'm crushed by that... You'd think the young'ns would try to buy off one of their own but only three people bought a packet from us in the 4 and a half hours I was there... mundo dissapointment.

I had to do some stuff on "the floor" which is basically the stationary area. It's mainly cleaning up the shelves and asking people if they need help. This one lady needed a recorder which was like...the only thing that I actually knew where it was and i like....bolted off to get it for her. I come back to the counter to find out that I'm not allowed to actually hand an item to a customer off the shelf, I have to show them our range...because apparently if I hand it to them and it's not what they want they can SUE US!... The law is a retarded hoe.

5.30 came around and Wes taught me how to do the cash registed...I'm still not exactly sure what to do... it involes three hundred dollars and what not but it's like... something to do with bags..? I'll have to ask someone today. Actually closing the shop down was probably the most physical part of the job. All the big metal poles and screens and such and such. Aside from the sore feet and the hurting back... it was a good day.

Okay... NOW....STOP..WORK...POSTS...:|
