I read that the demand for whale meat is decreasing rapidly in japan, forcing the whaling companies to slash the prices of whale meat and store tonnes of the stuff. Finally japan realises that killing whales isn't the smartest idea. Unfortunately the companies are STILL planning to kill whales because of 8scientific research*. I suppose if they stopped now when the price of whale meat decreased it would be a little too obvious they weren't really killing whales for scientific research.. God why can't they just come clean, it's so bloody obvious what Japans doing but, of course, they have to keep up this ridiculous visade... I just hope that the decrease in demand for whale meat does mean that japanese people are realising the mistake of eating whale meat and they might actually do something about it...
