I would just like you all to know...

All of you who participated in pondering the attire of my power animal will be sorry tomorrow. Very, very sorry.

I'm just glad my goalies were smart enough to keep out of it. They say goalies are the strange ones, but in this case, I'd say they have more sense.

what exactly is a 'power animal'?

is our coach going to come up with stupid things like this when we make the playoffs?

It is the representation of your inner strength.

And Bob is hardly as cool as I am. So I suppose he will not.

of course.

wait, so yours is a hamster? i dont think i would want my inner strength to be a hamster.

bob is much cooler than you can fathom. we will prove by winning division next season.

You should be so lucky to have a hamster type power animal.

I'll believe it when I see it.

i just do not associate 'rodent' with 'power'. i mean, i can see 'rodent' with small, furry, tasty cat snack type of inner strength, but is that really what you are going for?

no problem. we are building up. we led for half of last year, next year it will be whole thing.

Don't talk about the hamster and everything will be fine.. trust me on that.

BUT, should your coach start drinking lots of green tea and talking about chakras you might want to watch out for... all the spiritual "enlightenment" that comes with that zen stuff.

we led for half of last year, next year it will be whole thing.

Not if we can help it. *grins*

ha, but see, is not like he can do anything to me, so i am free to talk about the hamster.

so far bob's weirdness is limited to synchronizing all the clocks in the entire practice complex AND arena and insisting our watches and home time-keeping devices are similarly set.

well...you can lead for part. but next year we get the second half.

Oh ho. My reach is long, kid. You'd be surprised.

idle threats, i think. you could say nothing to my coach to change his opinion of me, and whose else do i care about?

What makes you think I'd talk to your coach?

Reply

ilya_kovalchuk May 7 2004, 17:03:46 UTC
because i couldnt imagine what else you possibly meant by your 'long reach'.

Huh. I'd start worrying about your karma right about now.

Even the smallest butterfly can cause a tornado with just a flutter of its wings.

hamsters don't flutter. they just make their little wheel thing squeak.

I see the metaphor is lost on you. Go squeak somewhere else.
