I really hope everyone that on your flist read that. It's important stuff, and powerfully phrased, and deals with some subjects that (if that "in what percentile of LJ users does your age place you?" meme that's been going around is any indication, at any rate) an awful lot of people on livejournal are probably too young to remember.
The problems of globalisation seem to have been somewhat lost in the wash of all of this year's election's sturm-und-drang (possibly because Kerry was not very good on that count, and so it would have been somewhat less than strategic for those who were desperately praying for Anyone But Bush to bring it up during the election season), but I've been hoping that doesn't mean that Americans have stopped caring about it.
Oh, I love her - her analysis is just fantastic. She's totally one of my heroes. Thanks for posting this. Somehow, the fact that she can speak so directly and eloquently makes me feel hopeful.
