Oh, it's a the cover of a comic by David Mack - Kabuki - it's about a girl (part of a superpower group of women pushed by the a shady government organisation) fighting the Japanese mafia somewhere in the future. She fights her evil dad (he killed her mother and scarred her face when she was little), wins and ends up in a mental institution, where she has to escape the shady government group, who totally tries to drive her insane by pulling an amazing array of stunts like re-painting her room while she is sleeping, putting up photos of a life, she never lived and other evil deeds. (Well, that's at least the beginning of it.) The art is so pretty and the whole thing is pretty trippy.

From that comic is also the girl with dead fish picture of my LJ layout.

No, I didn't about it. Hm, which forum is the right one? The Book-Lined Shelves?

Well, I will post it there and if it's wrong, I'll beg a mod to move it to where it rightfully belongs.

Er -- I'm afraid to ask. Did someone confuse the two and flame you or something? Because, yes, they are very different . . .

Very nicely laid out, btw.

And I too adore your icon. <333!

Not really. There was a comment on hp_essays where someone said: The HP community is often willing to except fanon view points based solely on the fact that their is no evidence that canon specifically forbids it. Which is a logical fallacy of nth degree.

which definitely inspired this post to a degree, but not completely. I've seen the "your speculation is unlikely, therefore the interpretation, you based it on, must be wrong" card pulled so often, by so many people that I just wanted to get this off my chest.
