Always felt like part of me was missing (rp for Zee)

Farah was numb as she looked over her shoulder, her fingers shaking a little as she struggled with the keys to try and open the door.  She pushed the door open gently, reaching to flip the switch for the lights to turn them on before she stepped into the place.  It was fairly empty, just a few pieces of furniture here and there.  It was clear that ( Read more... )

She glanced around, obviously taking in her surroundings and frowning a bit because she couldn't recall any of it. She was, according to Farah, her friend who knew her for awhile, but nothing triggered the memories of the friendship for Zee.

It was then that she noticed just how big the woman was when she turned slightly and placed her hand on the swell of her stomach. Ziyah peered curiously, still a little on edge but managed to conceal it in an effort not to cause Farah any more anguish.

With a nod, she just glanced around blankly in search of the bathroom and swallowed when she brought her gaze back to the friend who seemed like a stranger to her. 'Yeah, if you don't mind.' she replied quietly, looking down at herself.

Farah didn't know what to do, she didn't even know what to think or feel. She was blank at the moment because she was watching a dead woman walk around her apartment. She shouldn't have been surprised though, she shouldn't have believed that Zee was dead. She was an Immortal, she was supposed to survive mostly anything. Yes, she knew that beheading would kill her dead but still, she shouldn't have believed it.

"I don't mind." She moved down the small hall, opening her linen closet to pull out two towels and then she turned to open the door to the bathroom. She looked back at Zee then, "Here you go."

"Uh, do you need help at all?"

Had she just one small memory to work with, she may have been able to start the puzzle of what happened to her. To her, she was nothing more than a normal human being that had been the victim of some cruel torture by the hands of people she couldn't remember the faces of. She was just a woman, with no past and while it tore her to pieces, she remained hopeful that something would come to light.

She watched the pregnant woman, followed her and then found herself looking at her own reflection in the mirror above the sink. Startled, she gasped and teared up before looking away.

"Do you have anything I could use for a bandage?" she murmured with her head down, hiding the emotion so not to upset her.

When Zee gasped, Farah jumped a little bit and she looked confused for a second before realizing what was bothering her. The wound on her neck hadn't healed yet and Farah didn't know how long it would take.

"Sure." She nodded, moving to open the cupboard under her sink as she got out a small first aid kit. She set it on the counter, opening it up as she got out some gauze and some medical tape.

"Uh, did you just want to do it yourself?" She looked back at her lost friend.

Her hand came out to take the bandage and for a minute, she considered taking the help Farah was offering but didn't want to spook her anymore than she already clearly had.

Taking it, she looked back at the mess of dried blood and figured it would probably be best to clean it before bandaging it up and shook her head. "It's okay, I'll get cleaned up before getting you to help me. If that's cool?"

Turning to the bathtub, she started the water and again looked at her hands. "How long have we been friends?"

"Sure, that's cool." She nodded her head, not wanting to push her as she seemed a little spooked. Not that Farah could blame her, she would be spooked too if she had no clue who she or where she was.

"Um, over a year or so." Farah decided, leaning against the door frame, "We met when you helped me look for a job and whatever."

She set her hands down in her lap and looked back at Farah with an understanding nod. After losing everything, she wanted as much information. Possibly something she said would trigger something. Anything.

Her eyes moved back to the water filling the tub. "What kind of job did I help you get?" she questioned.

Farah paused a bit because she wasn't sure how to answer the next question because it was easy to tell Zee but to tell a woman that didn't really remember what was going on? How did you tell them that they got you a job as a stripper of sorts?

"Dancer." She decided with a nod of her head.

She lingered on a few thoughts, weeding out what type of dancer she was meaning and deciding herself what she thought she was capable of. With a simple, understanding nod, she reached over to turn the water off and sat a little longer.

'What else can you tell me? What's my full name? How old am I? Do I live here now? You said something about Los Angeles.." she gazed up, her eyes searching helplessly.

Farah nodded because she could answer a few questions, "Your name is Ziyah Ali. Your family is Italian..." Oh god, she'd need to call her uncle and her cousin. "You're about thirty three or so."

"You used to live here but you moved to Los Angeles a few months ago to open a club there and stuff." She nodded once more, rubbing the side of her stomach.

She listened, watching the woman and nodded once in understanding. Getting a little frustrated at the fact that nothing was coming back to her, she ran a hand through her matted hair and sighed.

'I wish I could fucking remember..' she spoke low, and alot like the woman she was when Farah first met her.

"You will." Farah nodded her head, ignoring the sharp pain as she swore that it was almost Zee for a minute because she cursed just like the woman she knew.

"I'll let you get cleaned up." She nodded once more, not knowing what else to do. "Do you feel hungry? I can order some pizza."
