Rose for a Magnolia

Sweet supple sour
    brush of lips and tongue and teeth;
                 Honey sun shines on each
                          drip droplet dot.

dot.

dot.

dew kissed pretty petal;

Sinful soft curves glow...
                              glisten healthy hopeful wide;
cry criminal and grin;
                                          Sordid horror thorns;
                              Color's deep spiral down
                               Softer still at center;
                                                     Darker all the deeper;
                                             Here and low my heart lies;
                                                         Kept yours and in you and always;
                                                                  Kept deep;
                                                                                        Sharp guardians, thorns
                                                             Blinding bright beauty;
                                                                         Second sacred sun.
And me beneath.

I've been working at a plant nursery, does it show? Gods.. floral metaphors. It's all downhill from here, of course. At least having a job gets me out of the house and allows me to still have an apartment to return to when I'm done. If Anna and Otis keep at me, it will be nothing but plant and flower metaphors from now on.
