In summary, I have been no-poo for 8 weeks now. I wash using BS/ACV every 3 days. I believe my hair is a type 2a, and by this point is pretty well adjusted. Anywho, during the school year I participate in athletics which require early morning practices Mon-Fri. After practice I shower at the gym, and because I don't want to go to class with wet hair I go in the sauna for about 10 minutes until it is mostly dry (I quickly hop in the shower again to rinse off the sweat of my body :-) ). Doing this last year I experienced much silkier and shinier hair each time, almost like a nice blow-out. However that was while I was shampooing everyday, and I was wondering if anybody knew or thought this could be harmful for my hair, especially now that I am no-poo. I have found some information online, but it all refers to using a sauna and then washing your hair.
My question regarding water-only washes is will doing these in between my BS/ACV washes be detrimental to my hair? I don't want to begin stripping oils from my scalp every day again and reverse the progress I have made in the past 8 weeks.
Now as far as styling goes, I have used zero products in my hair since I began no-poo (except for oils and natural remedies as such). My hair is fine, down past my chest, and barely has any wave, and I would really like to add some texture. Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can achieve this?
Classes and athletics start next week, and I have always been someone who likes to look their best :-) Thank you all!
