Haven't posted in a long time, and thought it was about time for an update!
I've been no 'poo for two months now, and it's been going pretty well! During the first month I used Dr. Bronner two or three times when my hair got bad, and shampoo once the day of my graduation three weeks ago. Since then, only bs/acv, and usually with a day or two in-between washes. I try to have two days between washes, but sometimes that just doesn't work. I never wash two days in a row, though.
The only "bad" thing that happened was that I just spent a week in Virginia Beach... and while the vacation was wonderful, my hair wasn't happy at all. All the salt water and crazy sun made it pretty angry and there was a lot of breakage. I've been back for three days, and I've been working on getting it better. It's still a little dry, and I guess I'll finally have to experiment with leave-in conditioners. Any ones that I should be aware of that was be especially good/bad in the sun??
Recently I've read in a bunch of posts that the "slippery feeling of bs isn't actually good, and that you're supposed to rinse when you feel it. Is that true?? I really like that feeling, cause it's easier to determine where on my head the bs is, and at least I feel like I'm washing my hair with SOMEthing. Hmm. But I guess my dry-ish hair could come from an overuse of bs, right? Any opinions?
Ooh, and I bought a BBB, which I love. Yay!!!
One thing I want to say is that I don't think I had much of a detox/adjustment period... right now, my hair pretty much behaves close to the way it did with shampoo. Which is nice, and I never want to switch back to shampoo... but it makes me think that I should be able to potimize my routine. I'm sure I can get better results, but most of the time I'm too lazy to change my routine, since it's basically working, hehe. I think I'll experiment with teas instead of acv next... and leave-ins.
Picture update soon! =)
