I have two sqeezy bottles (old tomato sauce bottles) one with BS & water the other with ACV & water. They have been serving me very well.
I believe if you can bite the bullet and stretch the time between BS/ACV washes and just do water washes for say a week, you hair will adjust quicker. Then you will find you don't need to wash so often.
I measure stuff out before I get in the shower, but it is a bit troublesome! :) What the comment said above about squeezy bottles sounds like a good plan, I should try that (I've only been doing this for 2 weeks) :)
I use cleaned-out mustard bottles, which I find it working quite well. I measure just before I hop into the shower and I do the BS "wash" first thing after I get in there so the water in the bottle stays warm. Also, something I just tried and found to really work was applying the BS/water solution to my hair while it was dry. (Someone in here suggested that; so far, so good.)
I've been transitioning for about two months now and I doing well with BS/ACV every 2-3 days, usually with WO one day if I go the three days. I had some really gnarly days towards the beginning of this process, but I figured it was better to do less BS than more to "train" my hair and scalp.
In the beginning I washed as often as I needed. The first week or two, I washed every other day with BS/ACV. After a few weeks, I was able to go two days in between. I just slowly increased between washes. I never had a "greaseball" period and no one could tell I had done anything to change my washing routine. I am now only using BS/ACV about once a week, but I am also almost 2 years into it. I don't set any hard and fast rules as to when I can or can't wash, though. Sometimes, if I sweat or if I am sick or whatever, I need to do it more often. I let my hair tell me what it needs.
As for storage, I keep my BS in a plastic Rubbermaid container. I use a small dish that I keep in the shower and pour it from the container (which seals to keep moisture out) into the dish before my shower. I keep the ACV in a squirt bottle and keep a water bottle in the shower to use for mixing.
