Hello, here's my story, could use support

Hi all, I'm on the 3rd week of no-poo. My history of hair care has been very low maintenance. I would wash every other day with a natural type (but SLS containing) tea tree shampoo then condition. towel off hair, style with fingers, forget about it. On alternate days I showered in hot water but not shampooing or taking special care about hair. I do remember a couple of years ago that I had a detox period to go from washing every day to every other day. I haven't recently needed a brush or comb.

Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago, I discovered this site and decided to try no-poo. I have been doing a BS wash/ACV rinse every 3 or 4 days. The first one I screwed up a bit by using sodium carbonate instead of bicarbonate of soda (or baking soda, which is hard to find where I live). I believe sodium carbonate is very similar but harsher. Anyway, I've been using BS ever since, and have decreased the amount from 1tb/1cup to about 1sp/1cup. I use 1 tb acv/1cup water. I usually use at least half and/or up to all of the cup per washing. I have occasionally added a rinse of lavender tea after everything.

The results: at first my hair was a bit tacky/sticky but definitely presentable. I would say it's actually going a bit down hill now. Still sticky, looks a bit greaser than before (but not total greaseball) and my partner commented that the back looked a bit "dready". I realized I should probably be combing/brushing more and starting combing which might be why it looks greasier now than before. I might buy a brush.

I see that detox takes longer than 3 weeks for some. I'm trying not to get discouraged. I'd like to keep going in order to reduce product use. However I don't want a more complicated regimen, for example using distilled water. The whole idea for me is keeping a low maintenance routine.

Advice, words of experience, support anyone? Is this still detox or do I need to tweak?
