===================================================================
#01 - Air
Sometimes Hot Spot wished that there wasn’t an entire place above him for Blades to go and he couldn’t follow.
#02 - Apples
He would never admit it out loud and he was going to fight every inch of the way, but Blades never really minded being loaded down with the bright red fruit to deliver to some random group of humans, because Hot Spot was the one that asked him.
#03 - Beginning
The first time he had to corral all of them to work together he had been afraid it would fall apart before Defensor could be formed; which made him wonder if that was why Blades tried as hard as he had to not argue with Groove or Aid that day.
#04 - Bugs
It had been a completely corny joke, but Blades had laughed anyways while the swarm of fireflies settled on Hot Spot as they waited for the all clear to head back to the rest of their brothers.
#05 - Coffee
Hot Spot was so obscenely cheerful in the mornings that Blades had to agree with Groove that he’d make a good endorser for that black sludge Sparkplug drank.
#06 - Dark
Blades had never done well in total darkness, as his cpu kept insisting the walls were slowly creeping in closer, until the sudden red glow of optics blinked on in worried confusion and he stuffed the fear back down and away to let Hot Spot not worry about it.
#07 - Despair
Hot Spot took on too much and blamed himself far too readily and that normally sent Blades to find something hard to kick until his Gestalt leader felt better.
#08 - Doors
Blades didn’t know you could run into an automatic door, until he watched in that foggy with pain killers way as Hot Spot moved faster then the doors to Medbay to check on him, and earned a nice dent in his helm for the trouble as well.
#09 - Drink
Hot Spot didn’t even realize how close to energy depletion he had been until the cube of energon was slammed down in front of him and Blades all but threaten to pour it down his throat to make First Aid stop looking like a kicked puppy.
#10 - Duty
He knew he was considered battle crazy compared to the rest of his brothers, but Hot Spot knew and understood he was that enthusiastic to keep Decepticon optics off his brothers who didn’t like to fight, and that was enough for Blades.
#11 - Earth
Hot Spot knew he would never live this down as he felt his rear tires sink even further into the sinkhole just as the sound of a certain helicopter reached his audios, and he was probably going to sink a bit further before Blades stopped laughing.
#12 - End
Since they had started this Hot Spot had never made it to the credits of a single movie, the fact that Streetwise tended to use him as a pillow and blanket probably didn’t help either Blades figured; even as he tried to keep his own servos from locking up under the weight of First Aid and Groove.
#13 - Fall
Hot Spot nearly had his own spark jump out of his chassis when Skywarp had dropped a smoking Blades from 10,000 feet up in the air.
#14 - Fire
Blades would never understand Hot Spot and his glee at jumping into a burning wreckage, no matter how the fire truck tried to excuse it as being helpful.
#15 - Flexible
He was actually amazed when Blades somehow managed to bend in ways metal beings should not be able to bend when about a pound of snow had fallen into the seams of his armor.
#16 - Flying
He knew getting into stupid competitions with Slingshot on more then one occasion had ended in both of them in medbay due to a stupid stunt, but it was worth it when even Silverbolt and Hot Spot would be impressed by them.
#17 - Food
Hot Spot knew they had been ‘volunteered’ one too many times to visit public school systems when he knew by how Blades kept very, very still that there was chewing gum in his rotary blades.
#18 - Foot
Blades had trained his Gestalt leader well to just give up and relax when he flopped over his legs and had no intention of moving.
#19 - Grave
Hot Spot was never serious, not with any of them at least, so when he turned to Blades with such an expression he knew things had gotten far worse then they expected.
#20 - Green
Trees on their own neither of them minded, it was usually the wildlife inhabiting the branches that had made them both wary of getting close. Birds and rotors or windshields didn’t mix well at all and was a horrifying ordeal.
#21 - Head
The entire team had very resilient helms, which was a good thing Hot Spot mused, when more often then not one or more of them would roll out of the pile and to the floor like Blades just did.
#22 - Hollow
Blades was going to maim whatever jet, ally or not, that had made the ground over a sub terrain chamber crack wide open and thus made him have to pull Hot Spot and a few others out in the middle of a firefight.
#23 - Honor
Hot Spot took the reports of insubordination and comments of Blades being nothing more then a loose cannon in stride, because he knew at least the other was an Autobot to the spark.
#24 - Hope
He left the optimism to the rest of his brothers because sometimes even Hot Spot needed one of them to be blunt and broody when he couldn’t be.
#25 - Light
The lights of his siren actually came in handy on more then one occasion when Blades would attempt to land on the few nights it was so dark even their optics were useless.
#26 - Lost
Hot Spot had found him weaving in an unsteady line and altitude dipping and rising sporadically, and somehow got him back down to the ground and to the Ark.
#27 - Metal
Hot Spot could have his optics shut off and the gestalt link suppressed and he’d still know them, especially Blades who felt to his servos as if he was made from a different type of metal then the rest of them.
#28 - New
Blades would share the exact same look with Hot Spot every single time someone on the Ark started talking to them as if they were sparklings who needed to be coddled.
#29 - Old
It was sometimes hard to recall that they were only twenty years old especially when Blades would just sit and stare into a cube of energon with that slightly wild optic look of remembering battles that went wrong.
#30 - Peace
For most of those on the Ark downtime mostly was lounging around and talking, which was why they probably got odd looks when during downtime found Hot Spot and Blades helping to put out a forest fire and being cheerful about it.
#31 - Poison
When Hot Spot had suddenly fallen over without any warning Blades suddenly found himself being clung to as they all waited to find out how their leader’s energon lines had been tampered with.
#32 - Pretty
Hot Spot had nearly laughed himself sick at the look on Blades face when a group of kids had called him the pretty helicopter.
#33 - Rain
Storm watching wasn’t the same on Cybertron as it was on Earth, which was probably why Blades suddenly found himself being used as a glorified seat alongside Hot Spot when a storm came up while they were on Earth.
#34 - Regret
Hot Spot would have gladly welded his vocalizer to mute to never snap at Blades again like that.
#35 - Roses
They both had just shared a look before turning back to a drunken Groove warbling about how every rose has its thorns or such while the rest of their brothers giggled at the performance.
#36 - Secret
Being the leader and center for a combiner team meant there were few things he didn’t know about his teammates, yet Blades somehow managed to remain a mystery to him.
#37 - Snakes
Blades didn’t want to know and did not ask as he watched what seemed to be hundreds of snakes being jostled out of Hot Spot’s cab.
#38 - Snow
Hot Spot didn’t mind the white and hush that came along with the falling snow, especially as it kept Blades grounded and thus nearby in case of trouble.
#39 - Solid
At first he had ignored the bonds as they weakly flickered across the wires of his processor as more of an annoyance then anything, but now he couldn’t think of ever being without those links as Hot Spot made them even more real and permanent in all of their minds.
#40 - Spring
Hot Spot would have glared up at the helicopter if he could have in altmode, but instead he went back to attempting to shake off as much of the pollen that had collected on him as possible.
#41 - Stable
Blades had never had anything like a routine or touchstone back on Cybertron, which was why Hot Spot probably dogged his heels the first few stellar cycles that they had been allowed before the gestalt link was activated to show none of them were going anywhere.
#42 - Strange
They were linked on a level few others could understand so it was actually harder to try and be separate in their thoughts for more then a few moments, which Hot Spot figured, when it came to Blades those moments of separating from them was when he didn’t want to worry his leader about something.
#43 - Summer
It was his favorite season as out in the Utah desert the chance of a storm or sudden wind shift were few and far between, yet he always had a feeling that Hot Spot hated summer for some reason.
#44 - Taboo
He wasn’t supposed to play favorites, but he found himself trying and encouraging the helicopter that had been placed in his unit, orns before he ever knew that Blades was another candidate for the Gestalt program.
#45 - Ugly
He had looked up with one cracked optic and the other offline, with the still forms of Groove and Streetwise in a deep medical recharge against his sides as Hot Spot stumbled in smoking and sparking with a delirious First Aid in his arms that Blades figured out just why humans called war ugly.
#46 - War
Hot Spot wonders sometimes while Blades is curled against his back and the other three are draped over the both of them, if they’ll still be this way when the war is said and done with.
#47 - Water
He knew he was caked with about a foot of mud just like the rest of his brothers as they had helped with the clean up of a mudslide in California, that didn’t mean he appreciated the sudden high powered spray of water to the face courtesy of Hot Spot.
#48 - Welcome
Hot Spot remembered the first time he was to meet his team face to face and how much he worried about them hating him as soon as he entered, then how that had faded away when he found himself underneath a surly looking helicopter who, after a long silent moment, had grudgingly said he’d do before rolling off him and stalking to another corner amidst the giggles of the other three in the room.
#49 - Winter
Blades could recall to the last detail about the first winter together and that goofy looking expression of shock Hot Spot had when he had led the other three in a charge to knock their leader into a snow bank and make him have fun instead of doing paperwork.
#50 - Wood
Hot Spot was never certain where it came from or why, and just accepted the soft scent of oak and damp leaves that Blades always had no matter the season or the circumstances.
