I have regarded Dean as a dear friend for a long time, and I'm sure these months have been trying for him as not even a friend like me can speak to him. It must make his studies very difficult as we prepare to undertake the NEWTs.
If I could, though, I would tell him that I may have made a breakthrough in curing him of this sad inability to speak to him.
It took a long time to analyse precisely how Seamus had butchered the noble Latin tongue in putting this spell on Dean, and to then use that same structure to come up with a reversal spell. I think I may have the solution.
Should someone see Dean, please show him a picture or perform a dance to indicate that he should come seek me.
I also have some splendid fuzzy slippers he can wear for comfort during NEWTs! They have little faces on them that look like newts!
