Okay. Dean with a baby. That… wow. I never felt much like wanting to be a mother, but I find myself being attracted to the thought of having Dean´s baby. Not really, but… when he is in his father role and all his protectiveness pours out, that really evokes a funny feeling in my guts. (Actually I would want to throw the baby back in the cradle and ( Read more... )

Thank you for your personal comment! Concerning your last sentence: PLEASE WRITE IT!!!!!!! (Isn´t there a meme somewhere we can post it to?!) That scene was meant for inappropriate thoughts! I can see the writers in their room, thinking "What can we do to make the fangirls go crazy?" Otherwise there was no need to make the creature turn into Sam first and then into Dean...

On Lisa: First: strong non-birching female character? Yes, please. There was this daughter from the art collector whom Sam had a crush on- she was a good start. But otherwise?! Second: I think I understand what you mean. I don´t believe it´s a bright idea to give oneself up in a relationship just so the other can have what he needs. What I saw in Lisa was actual strength- to set Dean free, to accept his needs without any reproach. She knows who she is, she doesn´t need him to reflect that for her. And while he´s gone, she will live her own life and not sit there yearning for him to come back. She has been alone for so long now, she knows how to deal.

But like you I probably have this take on that because I wish I could be more like her- to set my love free (he is seldom here due to his job) without being angry at him for letting me alone all that time. (It´s more complicated, but that´s the short of it.)

And then comes the difference between Lisa and me: Like you wrote, Dean´s heart isn´t in it (but my hubby´s is), and Lisa will have to face that one day. Dean cares, but only because he feels responsible, not because he loves them. That is a bitter difference.

And now I´ll go and read what your baby issue is :-).

That is a really good point! I think you're right... Dean doesn't really love them the way he should. It's almost more like obligation he feels to protect them.
