OMG OMG OMG!!

Ok... so i just had the most traumatic trip i have ever had!!

First off, FYI i came back home for Sam's baby shower. I left at 6am EST and began my journey to Niceville. The first 4 hours of the trip was pretty uneventful. At around 10am EST things got scary right after i passed the Quincy exit on I-10 (approx 1hr 40minutes from home). My left rear tire blew and i lost control of my car. OMG!! i was so scared. It spun into this huge circle from the left lane to the side of the road on the right side and i managed to stop on the side of the road facing the opposite way that traffic was coming. I freaked out!! It was seriously the most tramatic experience of my life. What made it even worse was as I was turning, a semi was coming. Thank God he got into the left lane before he got near me, and I also was near the side of the road. Did I mention how freaked I was?? because you have no idea how bad I was.

A lady pulled to the side of the road and asked if I was ok. I told her I was freaked out, but other than that I was fine. SHe looked at all of my tires and informed me that the back rear tire was missing the treds (the outer part of the tire). She then informed me of stuff I already knew (like to calm down, call my road side assistance provider, and request a FHP officer come out) and left me alone on the side of the highway. Instead, I called my mother (while she was helping out at NHS for the band uniform fitting) and told her about what happened (i was still freaked out about what happened and everything). SHe handed my dad the phone so I could tell him where I was and then sent him to go get me. I waited in the car for a while until a FHP officer came up and took me to a gas station to wait for my dad. He showed up and we headed out to my car. THere was nothing seriously wrong with my car other than the fact my car had no treds. We got the spare on it and drove all the way home. I got home after 2:30 CST, relaxed and calmed down, and headed out to Sam's baby shower. YAY!! I was so glad I was able to go. Sam liked the Lightning McQueen plushie and handprint mold thing I got her. We determined that she was given almost every kind of baby wipes you could get (from Original to all other scents they make).

After everything that happened I know for a fact that God was watching out for me. Seriously. Considering everything that could have happend and didn't, it proved it. Had my tire blew out a half a second earlier or later, I could have either ended up in the ditch, or had a guard rail become part of my car. Also conveniently my car stopped on the side of the road on the concrete shoulder (which made things easier for my dad when he was putting the spare on it).

Well.. I'm obviously home, safe and sound. We are going to take my car into the shop on Monday to have BOTH rear tires replaced (since only the front 2 tires were replaced when I left in June. I also hope to replace my phone since it's also acting up as well. YAY!!

Well... that's my exciting trip home. Give me a call if ya want to do something before I leave on Monday.
