Exploration, semi-hostile wilderness and occasionally hostile neighbours are more than enough to keep a Minicon occupied. Add a rogue Autobot youngster and his own in-team antics on top of that, and it’s small surprise that Iceberg hasn’t visited the Nexus much in recent months. He didn’t think it would do any harm.

"It Minicon?" she asks, absently scratching a patch of bright green paint off a chestplate. "'Re Autobot?"

"Minicon," he says firmly. "That's the point of the place. It's the first of the independent Minicon colonies to actually get up and running, though Regen Beta's not that much younger or smaller."

"Ah." Her optics drop to the paint spatter. "Ye sure they're after wantin' t' likes 'o me around?"

"Sure. They don't break out the welcome banners for Decepticons, but that doesn't mean they hate anyone who's not a hundred-percent pure Minicon. You should get the same welcome as the rest of us." He rubs his chin. "If anyone's got anything to worry about, my bet's on Nova."

"She's comin' too, then?" Her voice goes flat as her processor whirs.

He was afraid of that, which is why he has assurances all ready. "I haven't asked her yet. But if she says yes, she'll be coming for a whole different set of reasons to you. See, back when I met her I said I'd try and get her combat training, and this looks like my chance to make good on that."

Hormah shakes her head. "Ye thinks she's gonna put up wit' a 'Con jes' t' git some trainin'? Ye after knowin' how big t'at t'ere femme's grudge is?"

Iceberg shrugs. "I'll ask her anyway. The two of you don't have to see much of each other once we're there, and we can probably work something out for the shuttle trip. Besides, maybe you're underestimating her. We'll see."

"T'is ot'er one 'o her I knows 'o? Ripped Skywarp's warp out... 'n kept it. T' 'Cons 'o t'at reality's scared abroad 'o 'er." Hormah scans something flying overhead, and idly cocks an optic at it.

Iceberg takes a moment to digest that, then shakes his head. "Kid, I've seen Megatron and Optimus Prime shake hands because Starscream wanted them too. As far as I'm concerned, anything's possible now."

"'N I knows a Meggy 'n Op as shares a shell 'n walks the side 'o angels," she says. "But even t' baby Nova's sketchy."

He's not sure what she's talking about, and less sure it matters. "Alternates ain't the same people. Nova's the only one who can say how she's gonna react, and we won't know til we ask her. Don't worry about the bridge before we come to burn it, all right?"

"Alright, but she goes nuclear on me aft 'n tis yer call t' tell Blackout what was after happenin'."

So... she won't be able to bring Rap, because Nova would probably not react well to what she might perceive as Autobot treachery. The Commandos are out of the question, and according to Blackout they're gone. Not that they would have wanted to go to this sort of thing, anyway. Who else does she know? Bob... no. His 'Con symbol is too big, and so is he. Ditto for her glitch-headed brother.

She frowns and deedles to herself uncertainly, weighing everyone else she knows but knowing they wouldn't work. They aren't part of her team.

"I can handle that," he grins. "So is there anyone else you want to ask?"
