Mazikeen is the current Lightbringer in her canon, role that used to be Lucifer's. What does this mean? The (multi)verse/Creation she comes from was made by God/Yahweh/the Presence using his sons, Michael and Lucifer, as intermediaries. Michael made the big bang, Lucifer shaped what he had done. They got, as Death said, "the ball rolling."
In Vertigoverse, this means she has the ability of Unlimited Will to shape and change anything at whim. The fire of the very suns, etc. As such, they are almost impossible to kill (they would just will themselves back: unless they have passed this duty unto someone else). Death didn't seem able to claim Lucifer (admitting she has no claim on him when he pointed it out), probably because the Endless are patterns of the reality that Michael ignited and Lucifer shaped. "Side-effects" of reality Yahweh wanted as Luci called Destiny once. Idk.

However! Maz would prefer to not use anything Lucifer gave her as consolation prize (she wanted to join him into the Void), unless it's absolutely necessary. She's kind of pissed with her (ex?) consort. Some bits of nigh omnipotence/etc gets out of control are expected as she's new in this.
