[There had been so much, so much that he had wanted to tell Seimei. He'd wanted to tell him about Soubi, about how much he loved the other man, how much he was willing to fight for him ... but Seimei would never stop. No, he was always looking at his older brother's back. It had been so long that he was starting to feel as if that was all he ever saw of him. This strange cruelty that seemed to be Seimei's true nature.
Seimei had never been this cruel to him before.
It was his choice, he knew that it was his choice to follow him, to believe in the brother who had always taken care of him. And he did. He believed that the parts of Seimei that he remembered weren't a lie. They couldn't be. There was still a part of Seimei that was kind. That wanted him to be happy. He just knew it. He just had to find him, to show him that he really was happy. Happy with Soubi and with the life they had made for themselves here. He wouldn't deny the terrible pain of missing his brother, but being with Soubi, being loved, it lessoned the pain and made things easier. He wanted to tell his brother that, but of course, Seimei was always out of reach.]
[With a choking gasp the boy awoke, opening his eyes and looking around, voice and mind groggy with disuse.]
Soubi? Seimei ... where are you?
