[Ana felt like complete and utter crap, and she didn't look all that good as she made her way to the infirmary. Right now she was counting on the fact that it would be too busy for people to pay much attention to her. This was probably not going to work, but at the same time, she had to try. It was the only way to be able to salvage some of the MARS... well, apparently Cobra plan. When she walked in she closed the curtain around his bed and leaned and whispered softly.]

I know, I know, but there was nothing else to do if we want this fixed.

I know. But he's the only one who can fix it, and he can't do it if the wardens take all of his access from the lab. He apparently didn't build in a safety so they stop working. [She kept her voice low but sharp and she was pacing a bit in the small space by the curtain.]

It's a question of which do you want more? It off or him gone. [Her voice was far too neutral when she said that.]

[Ana said softly, because she was hurt and she was angry and she was just tired and overly emotional for her. She took his hand in hers.] I'm sorry, James.

Me too. [She just said with a soft sigh, before she touched his face.] Apparently it's just encased in metal; you're all healed underneath.

I can hit ya with a crowbar and we can find out if you like. [Ana's voice was soft, and she didn't mention to him that the whole Destro thing had been kind of the point; she still didn't want to believe that Rex had done that. She took a deep breath and spoke softly.]

We'll fix it, James, I promise, we'll get this fixed.

[Ana didn't want to mention the inevitable shit storm with all of that would come with this. She was planning on throwing herself on Uhura's mercy, but she didn't know how that would work. And then there was the entire Rex thing to consider.]

Right, so then crowbar hitting later, insisting Rex be allowed time in the lab to fix this, and I'll kill anyone who calls you Destro. ['Other than Rex' she added mentally. It was so weird that Rex wasn't on their side now.]

[It was probably worth noting that Ana didn't rush to defend her brother, or to make any comment about him in any way. She couldn't do it herself, but she couldn't blame James for wanting it done, not when things were how they were. The only thing she had to say on the subject was said in soft, angry tones.]

I'd wait til after he fixes it; it might be hard to get him to do any work if he's pissed at you for killing him.
