... He's droned. I don't think he's done anything to deserve it, which means it's more likely to be permanent. Perhaps he'll start acting like himself again someday, but it's more likely he'll be replaced first.

I don't know why it keeps happening to everyone else in this family. I don't really want another new brother or sister. I just got used to the old one.

More like they took over his brain. Soon he won't be very distinguishable from the other drones. Like your 'wife'. She uses to be much more interesting than she is now.

You are the fourth father I've had. Lobelia was the second mother and Shinjiro the second brother. When I first got here everyone else in the house was a drone.

In Shinjiro's memory, I'd be happy to help you look for a job. Since you aren't making any money at all right now it's not good to remain idle.

He'll keep acting like he does now. Which is to say like every other teenage boy in Mayfield. It's like any unique characteristics he had will fade. Droning doesn't happen to everyone. There are a few people here who have never been droned. But then, it could just be a matter of time.

Just go for the job that pays the most. [Job satisfaction? What's that?]

Well, ideally you would be a doctor or lawyer. I suppose it's too much to hope that you have skills in those areas? If not, you could probably get a job as an office worker. I don't think this place screens job applicants too well.

I'm not quite sure having never been able to get a job here myself. A lot of people are just assigned them. I would assume you just walk up to the office building and apply. You could try tagging along with someone who already works there.

Because I'm only one. Despite the fact I am more than qualified for many positions, the drones only treat me like any other baby.
