"KoL, bad jobs, and stray cats"

Whoa, it's been way to long since I posted last. Maybe I'll keep up better for awhile now.

Anyway, an update on what's happened so far in my life.

I've been addicted to Kingdom of Loathing for awhile now. It's hilariously good fun, and the best MMORPG that you have to play occasionally to keep up. Drop me a line if my little speech here actually entices you to play. My player name is No Moshing. Sign up and join the clan I formed that right now consists of just me. =3

Another thing I've been doing lately is fanboying over the World of Darkness rpgs. Changeling's coming out in August, and looks like a triple-slice of deep fried seasoned awesome. Other good books are coming out soon. ^_^ One of the the more interesting tomes I'm looking forward to is Asylum, which is all about using mental hospitals as a setting, using insanity to evoke a sense of horror, and provides a sample, "plug and play" mental institution you can drop into almost any game.

Elyse wants to run a Werewolf: the Forsaken game after I'm done running Exalted, which is great. =3 I'm looking forward to some werewolf action, and getting some use out of the books I've been collecting.

After that program I was in wrapped up, I was hired at a Pennzoil oil change centre, and worked there for about a month and a half before my boss pissed me off enough that I quit. Essentially, it went like this:

Me: Why did you give my shift away yesterday to Charlie? (a true event)
Boss: Because I felt like it. I can do that. I'm the boss.
Me: So I can lose a shift at any time because you feel like it?
Boss: Go home. I'll tell you when you can come back in.
Me: Fuck you, asshole. I'll come back in when you call and apologize to me for being a prick.

So yeah. Not working there anymore. Kinda glad though. It wasn't paying enough for me to stay there realistically, and it was the kind of work that would eventually have made me bitter and miserable. Kinda like Zeller's, but that was mostly the manager's fault and not the work.

Anyway, we have a stray cat at our house. We're putting out flyers and informing the world at large that this stray cat is here, please someone take it, because my brother is badly, asthma-attack allergic to cats and we can't give it shelter. =( If anyone else in the Courtice/Oshawa area is reading this and wants to adopt a cat temporarily, we would very very much appreciate it. So would the cat. It's very affectionate, obviously an indoor cat, and is kinda clueless.
