So it's Christmas. And a very good one, at that. Today was nice, my mom made a good dinner and then we watched The Devil Wears Prada together. I'm now watching Grey's Anatomy with my sister; we've been watching it all week. She's hooked.
It's been an eventful week since I've been home. Shopping with Tony. Seeing Kim. Feeling like a townie at the Firehall, then drinks at Applebee's. "Reconnecting" with an old friend the other night was very nice. And it was nice to have a night like that again. It had been a while. Seeing everyone from both the jobs I've worked around here.
Getting my hair done this week. Having lunch with another old friend. Shopping for some new boots with the money my Grandmother and aunt gave me for Christmas.
And, after hearing about the downright unfortunate, upsetting situations that some people are enduring right now, I've realized just how lucky, fortunate, and truly blessed I am to have such a wonderful family, and I feel so badly that some people don't have the same unconditionally loving, accepting, and amazing family that I do. And then there's Nicole, who is so sick and I don't know how that girl keeps going day after day, staying so positive about everything even as it breaks her down. That girl has angels on her side. I'm so thankful that I have my health. I wish I could give her mine.
Tis the season. Be thankful.
