John 3: 16 - you're right that scriptures says "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son ..." but What you missed is that the words in the tract - God cares so deeply about us that he has gone to great lengths to make the fulfillment of his purpose a certainty - were not a direct quotation. John 3: 16 is there so you would look it up in your own Bible.
2. Also, notice that the New World Translation is not the only translation that translates that verse that way.
