Here's an alternate idea, one that will have a permanent effect without damaging LJ:

There is no price. They are no longer available. You will have to find people with existing Basic accounts willing to give them to you, which is not a completely secure action, but the best you can get.

This comment feels very anti-Semitic to me. I do not abide by that. You will have to rephrase the question in a way that isn't totally offensive to me. If you continue with that kind of an derogatory line towards an ethnicity, I'll ban you.

1. Because discrimination against anyone on the basis of their ethnicity is bad.

2. Because no_lj_ads is a place to protest ads in LiveJournal, not to discuss your attitudes towards various ethnic groups.

3. Because foxfirefey is the owner of no_lj_ads and has the right to set the rules here.

4. Because I'm Jewish, and I'd much rather you disliked me because of who I am than because of your ignorant anti-Semitism.

(foxfirefey, I'd just as soon delete any further comments of this sort, but I did want to get that said.)
