Aren't they more likely to raise the price of paid accounts than to get rid of them? Because then the same features would have to be implemented across the board, and that means either tons more server space needed, or getting rid of a lot of stuff like vice posts.

I liked your first version better. Although the idea that they'd charge us more for posting NC17 fanfiction wouldn't sit well with fandom...

And yet, if they don't give Paid accounts more benefits than 'You don't get to see ads. Mostly.' I don't know who's going to go for it.

If by then Basic had been demolished utterly? Then it wouldn't matter, because if the users who saw ads made SUP more than the paid users, the paid users would have to start paying more to make up for it...or revert and see the ads that would make SUP more than the original paid user price.

Well I think paid users would choose to revert or move elsewhere so more plus users. So, yeah, a good strategy if they want to get rid of paid users.

If the ads started making more than the paid users did, they wouldn't really have to care.
