New Six Apart CEO announced

Sep 14, 2007 20:18

barakb25 is standing down. His replacement is this guy: The opportunity to lead this icon of the Internet is both exciting and humbling. I am grateful to many people. To Barak Berkowitz, who brought me into the company and supported me as his successor when he resigned, and the board that has but their trust in me. To Ben and Mena Trott who had the vision and drive to create this enterprise - as we built the magazine we wanted to read, they built the platform they wanted to use, and it shows. To the incomparable Anil Dash who has kept the passion alive since being the first employee. To Aaron Emigh, who helped me bring Rojo to Six Apart.
Co-founder of Rojo, the aggregator that 6A bought last year (widely said to be buying the staff, not the product, now confirmed?) and that took awhile longer than the rest of the products to come back up after the power cut.

Any change of CEO will inevitably lead to slight changes in the way the company operates, I guess the real question is how well will he 'get' LJ? ETA: I'm away at a conference as of tomorrow early am, if you're not a member your comments are screened, it's a default community setting, please consider joining the comm as well to make comments, else you'll need to wait for another mod if I'm not available
