Keep an eye out for Basic accounts created as Plus

Keep your eyes and ears peeled--the past month has brought enough reports of new Basic account creations ending up as Plus that it's very possible there is a bug somewhere in the process. This isn't anything sinister or shady--LiveJournal does test this kind of stuff and account creation is currently passing the tests--but it seems like there are some situations where the process isn't working. So if you have any ideas of what the responsible factor could be, please report.
