Six Apart acquires Rojo

Six Apart has acquired the startup Rojo, an RSS feed reader service. The press release is here.

Summary: Estimates put the purchase at about $5 million, which if so would be a poor turn out for the venture capital investors who put in $3.5 million into the company. It seems to be more an acquiring of personnel than technology, as the press ( Read more... )

Something must be wrong with me, because I don't understand the point of them doing that if they might intigrate it a little bit but pretty much plan to tear the thing apart and don't give a carp about its future.

Is this where Paid account money goes now? Because somehow I doubt that most Paid users want to fund this sort of crap.

The point of doing it is to acquire the people they wanted--they've got themselves a new person to run their Movable Type division, for one.

Haha, nonono, that's the money from aaaaaads! Or maybe venture capital funding leftovers.
