Compiling LJArchive with Mono

As far as I can figure out LJArchive is the best backup program out there. I want to test out and write instructions for using it to upload entries to WordPress, but alas, I am Mac bound and don't have a convenient Windows machine to perform such feats on. It's reputed that LJArchive is compilable with Mono--however, I'm not finding any good guides on how to achieve this, and I've never tried to do anything with Mono before, leaving me pretty unprepared.

Does anyone have an idea of how to do this or experience with compiling .Net programs in Mono, or should I go bug them at ljarchive?
